From the 11.2 fl. oz. bottle with a simple marking of 01_M. Sampled on April 13, 2014.
It pours an attractive medium amber color with fairly good clarity and a lingering cream colored head.
Aromas of pear, apple, toasted bread and biscuit, brown sugar, maple maybe, and a bit of mild spice. Sweet would be a quick way to define it too.
Medium to bold body and smooth.
The sweetness kicks in right off in the taste with the apple, pear, and malts taking center stage. Then there is is this vibrant bitterness the ends dryly. Alcohol is well integrated. I was in the mood for a Quad today and I found this one top be delightful through and through.

Been passing up on trying this beer for a very long time.
Great malty tone to this with a distinct and consistent sweet edge. Way too easy to drink. Strikes me much more as a strong amber ale, but who cares. It's a nice hearty ale that carries mellow, yet pointed, sweet tones. Like I said, way too easy to drink. A great beer.
