Party Town used to be called The Party Source, and was owned by the Party Source in Bellvue, Kentucky, until it was sold and renamed. They still maintain an awesome selection of imports and micros. You can be sure to find all offerings by Bell's, Rogue, Stone, SN, Goose Island, Great Lakes, and others. They have many imports including a wide variety of German, Belgian, and Canadian beers, among others. The beer managers are very friendly and are always willing to answer any questions, or listen to any comments. Party Town even has a growler program with 4 seasonal beers on tap to take home in growlers. When I was there in the early summer, the growler selections were Bell's Oberon, SN Summerfest, Goose Island Summertime, and Leffe Blond. All of the beers are very reasonably priced as well. The staff is nice and helpful as well. Mike, the nighttime beer man, is great to talk to, and is very knowledgeable about all things beer. This is definately a great place to check out if you are in the Florence area. All the great selection without having to drive in Cincinnati traffic. (1,089 characters)

For the area this place seems a bit "cheap" feeling next to some of the other big deals. So you might think negatively , but wait till you see the bombers and singles cold. Beer you'd think would be LONG gone are still on shelves, finding aged bottles happens all the time. The staff is simply amazing.

This is hands down the best "big box" liquor store I've been to. Oh and just try and start talking to the staff about what you like or options. They go way out of their way to help you out. For anyone in the greatest Cincinnati area or norther Kentucky, you just don't find something better. (603 characters)

Found this store in Beer Advocate while working in the area. Great selection of craft beer chilled and not chilled. They also have a great selection of bomber bottles. There is a good selection of single 12 oz. bottles so you can try one without buying a 4 or 6 pack.
There are several taps at the front of the store where you drink by the pint or get your growler filled.
It's like a party supply store with a great beer selection. I did notice a large selection of ciders, wine and liquor. (498 characters)

While smaller overall than several other local stores, with less of a bottle and keg selection, Party Town has one majpr, major wow factor going for it: the growler station.

Two dozen taps, continually rotating, pouring everything from pint jars to full gallons at reasonable prices, staffed by beer geeks who love to talk beer with you when there isn't a line at the station (or even when there is, if everyone's into the conversation).

On top of that, this place hosts events at least weekly. Tap takeovers, tastings where brewers come in and set up, Friday Night Flights - there's almost always some sort of beer event going on, usually for something like $3 to $5 for six tasters with more available as desired.

Slap on a good array of liquor also available, and you've got a nifty little place. (802 characters)

Highly impressed by the selection down at the Party Store, the front of the building in a shopping outlet in Florence, KY does nothing to warn you about the incredible selection of wine, beer, cigars, obscure hot sauces, party supplies that this store has to offer definitely a one stop shopping experience. Beer coolers with singles that need to be kept cold, kegs galore, sixers and 12 packs in the walk in cooler, grocery store like aisles of beer. I found the house beer guy, who shares the namesake of one of my first cousins...Jeff Metz. He gave me awesome beer advice, and access to some of his cellared jewels. I left with a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, a vertical of Avery the Beast, the Beer Geek Brunch Weasel, and my first go around Pretty Things, Prairie wild ales, Cincy based Rivertown sour ales, a couple growlers special one offs from Dark Horse and Against the Grain. Awesome beer experience!!! Great prices stop in if your into all things to induce partying. (983 characters)

I go here every week. They have a great mix and match section, great homebrew supplies aisle, the 18 taps growler fill station selection changes almost every week, weekly beer tastings for $2, they have lots of glassware, and every employee I've talked to has been very friendly and informative.

My only gripes are that when compared to the other places I go, everything is a little bit pricier at Party Town, and they skip some major beer releases like Enjoy By. (464 characters)

This place is huge and impressive. Aisles upon aisles of all types of booze and wine. Great whiskey selection, but of course, this is in Kentucky.

Beer section is impressive. About 150 different bomber/750's to choose from. Cold beer walk-in with just about everything they offer. Cold kegs of the BMC's and 6th barrels of some of the craft selection. Singles available in everything they offer. They are cold, but don't mind if you grab one out of a sixer if you want warm. Great international and domestic craft selection. Also, good gift boxes of things like Duvel and Chimay among others.

Service isn't great because of the store's size, but if you go find someone they are willing to do what they can. Also a good selection of home brew supplies.

Overall, I spent about 40 minutes in here, and probably could have spent a few days.

**Side note, I saw the growler fill station. 18 taps that are clearly marked with prices. Options of 1 liter, 64 oz, and gallons. I did not use the station, so that's all I'll say. (1,021 characters)

The best feature of this place is the growler station, where you can sample up to 18 beers. They have events every Friday to sample new brews.

The part of the store I take the most advantage of, however, is in making my own six-packs. This way I can maximize the amount of beers I get to sample - and the selection is very good, both with craft beers from the States and with imported beers.

One of the employees spent an hour talking about homebrew with me, as well, and I was impressed by his passion and knowledge with the subject. He had book recommendations, kit recommendations, and the experience of trial and error. I will definitely be doing this soon, and want to thank Tony for the time he took with me. (718 characters)

The Growler Station is unbelievable- 18 freaking taps. As a result, of course, there's plenty of variety. Their selection of singles and sixers compares favorably with Party Source (about 20 minutes to the north of Party Town), but the display seems to be more cramped.

I went in for the first time earlier this week, and after wandering around for only a minute or so, was helped by a member of the friendly knowledgeable staff. He made it clear that, if I wanted to, I could sample anything and everything they had on tap so that I didn't go home with a growler I didn't want. He also informed me of their weekly beer tastings held on Friday Evenings. Admission is two dollars (!) to taste between seven and fifteen beers(!!), and that often people will bring in their homebrews to share and taste(!!!).

I haven't been here often enough to give it a more objective look than that. However, if the service I got is representative of what others can expect, then this place is very VERY awesome! (999 characters)

the growler station here is amazing!!! the store is a little too large for what i shop there for....beer. since it's so large i can sometimes be difficult to find somebody with questions but when i do they stay with me as long as i need. that is why i gave them a higher score on service.

what i really love about this place, aside from the amazing growler station, is that i almost always find a rare seasonal in stock that is out of stock everywhere else.

i really should go there more often than i do now. (510 characters)

This is my go to store has been since I was able to purchase the devils nectar! jk. Great atmosphere, everyones always in a positive mood and very helpful. I know a few of the workers pretty well and love sharing rare and uncommon beers with them on the Fridays I can attend the beer tastings. their selections vary from domestic macro, domestic crafts and great imports. they are very quick to get in the limited beers that are released by domestic crafts... Always quick to left you know what might fly off the shelf and what is coming in. The growler selection is huge, 18 handles youbare bound to grab something, they now offer pints, quarts and the half gallon growler. there is a great variety as well. For hombrewers such as myself they have an intro to brewing section, great malt extracts, hops, equipment, and a small grain section.
Overall, a great store best in the greater Cincinnati area. IMO
If you are in a 50 mil radius and are in search for great beers make it a day and get out there! (1,004 characters)

I usually visit Party Town on Friday evenings, so that I can hit up their beer tastings.

The selection is pretty good, filled with domestic and foreign bottles in the back. Up front they have a growler station that is always interesting. Friday evenings are a good time catch up with some other beer geeks or curious customers who congregate for the weekly beer tasting. The selections for the tasting are always well put together and sequenced. Also, the staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and open to suggestions on things that they should stock. The staff and customer service are really what sells this place to me. Prices are comparable to most other stores in the area. (678 characters)
