10 oz snifter tap pour. Around 10% Pour at Silver Creek in Cedarburg. This keg is the May 2008 brew.

A - Pours a hazy, bronzy amber with a low cream colored head. Poor retention could be attributed to high alcohol. Left a ring of bubbles and no lace.

S - Huge malty nose of bready, toasted malts with light caramel and honey with an underlying fruity sweetness.

T - Very rich caramel sweet toasty, bready malts with fruity undertones of berries and melon probably coming from alcohol phenols. Lots of honey too. Light floral hops kiss the palate towards the finish.

M - Uber smooth and rich, full-bodied with an incredibly sweet, malty finish. A really robust beer.

D - The one snifter will probably be plenty of this beer for me, but it's a great sipper that's deliciously smooth and enjoyable.

On tap at the Silver Creek Brew Pub.

Poured a deep and cloudy amberish / copper color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, light alcohol, fruity, and floral. Tastes of toffee, caramel, brown sugar, and fruity. Medium alcohol burn in the finish.

A: Served with a minimal 1/8" of head. No lacing. Hazy yellow in color.

S: A little yeasty with some sour lemon.

T: Sweet lemon flavor. Reminds me of Lemonheads candy intermixed with a malty sweetness. Odd, somewhat repulsive finish, requires a chaser to get the flavor out of my mouth.

M: Medium body with medium carb.

D: Maybe coming across a Maibock in August is a bad thing, because this beer sucked. I hope the original was better than what they served me here and this beer is the result of poor aging. Simply put, in its present form, this is not a beer I would ever want to drink again.
