16 oz tap pour into a Weizen glass.
I've helped them brew this beer quite a few times, so it's about high-time I review it.
A - Hazy golden yellow with a well-retained and lacy white head.
S - Blended wheat and pale malt balance with spicy clove and fruity banana esters that give the nose a classic aroma.
T - Mirroring the aroma but falling away in potency a bit, the flavor of wheat, grainy malt, and spicy esters are a bit low.
M - Creamy and smooth, this medium-bodied hefe has a crisp, nice finish.
O - A decent American hefe, this is good but could definitely use a boost in potency of the flavor, it runs just a little thin there.

Tried on tap at SCBC, 6 Jul 2011. Served in a wheat glass.
Small white head quickly dissipates. Well carbonated. Hazy harvest gold in color. Wheat, lemon and yeast in the aroma. Clove and some green banana. Banana and clove dominate throughout. Medium body, kind of chewy. Finishes with a lot of wheat.

Poured into my weizen glass the beer is a lightly cloudy golden yellow. One finger of white head forms and fades rather quick. So quick I barely had a chance to critique it. A tiny bit of lace is left behind.
The aroma is typical heffe. Lots of fruit with banana being the most dominant. Clove, bubble gum and a solid dose of black earth.
The flavor doesn't stray from the nose much at all. The banana and clove blend well with the wheat backbone to produce a pleasant dry finish. The usual black dirt component I get out of heffe's is present as well.
Light to medium body. With lively carbonation.
Overall a very solid heffe. Crisp and refreshing on a warm summer night.
