I stopped in here for a quick visit since I was nearby and figured I might as well. Selection seems a bit limited and the beers in the cooler are not exactly near the room temperature stuff. So keep that in mind if you go. I picked up a few single cans of DC Brau and Lost Rhino for $1.99 each, which was fine by me.
The bottom line is though, with Dominion just down the road, basically, with a superior selection, there isn't much use spending much time here, unless you can find a few singles here that you haven't elsewhere.

Atmosphere - It's a grocery store. It's full of customers, most of whom aren't interested in conversing about beer.
Quality - Nothing special here. The usual brews you can obtain pretty easily anywhere. Very nice displays. Clean Store
Service - Exactly what you'd expect at a Whole Foods. There aren't exactly people walking around looking to help you.
Selection - Not worth coming to unless you're collecting special release beer
Food - It's a whole foods. Best place to buy food as far as I'm concerned.
Prices - Significantly better than my homeland, Montgomery County

This location of Whole Foods is right along a main business district in Falls Church. Also look out for the Starbucks logo, being in the same plaza, so you do not pass it...busy road.
Anyhow, as you might imagine, this is mainly a grocery store, but they do have a beer section, albeit a fairly small one compared to some other Whole Foods locations. For me, coming from a few states away, it was easy to find a few interesting things such as DC Brau year-round, something from Williamsburgh Alewerks and Bells. They also had several offerings that is commonly found in New England such as Dogfish Head, Rodenbach, etc. For those passing through or visiting from out of sate, it is certainly worth checking out.

As has been said before, this place does not have too much space reserved for beers, but they do a fantastic job of maximizing that limited space. All of the selections are quality, and it's nice to see them supporting the local breweries so well (in fact, the Beer Guy told me that he had not sampled a certain brew, and had even heard it was only average, but he was excited to carry it because he likes to see the locals get some retailer love). Indeed, what has kept me coming back here is the service. The Beer Guy (I feel bad that I can't remember his name..though I want to say it's Jeff...) is always ready to offer a recommendation, a review, or even just talk about enjoying beer. I love him all the more because he helped secure me the only bottle of 2009 Utopias the store was to receive. Considering the seemingly outrageous prices for the rest of the store's wares, the beers are priced quite moderately, some cheaper than elsewhere and others more expensive. Still, the quality of selection and service will keep me coming back time and again.

Quality brews, that's what's important right? Great smattering of regional and local brews which is almost always important to out-of-towner BAs such as myself. Great selection of other US micros as well, and had the chance to pick up quite a few that I can't get in my normal area of residence.
I was offered help, but politely declined due to time constraints, so I'm probably not qualified to comment. It was nice that they offered, though.
Great selection of both cooler ready, as well as warm brews. The other reviews are right in that this place does not waste space...quality shelfing. My only complaint is that the singles selection was lacking. There were a few, but I wished more of the six packs were broken down....minor complaint though.
Definitely would recommend to those visiting the area...won't be disappointed.

ok so i have to give them props for service because i always end up talking to their beer guy and he tells me anything and everything about availability dates etc. for a normal beer store this may be par for the course, but for a grocery with a beer section, heck yea. the selection is all quality nothing bad on the shelves, though the variety might be lacking due to available space they don't waste space with "lesser" beers. I still rem when hopslam came out, this was the first place that reserved and saved me a six pack, and like other beer oriented stores, knew enough about the beer to limit ppl so "everyone could try it" while this impacted me negatively, it helped the beer community in my opinion and is not at all a bad thing
