The only bad thing I can think of to say about the Draught House is its location, tucked away in a difficult-to-find medical and residential district, miles away from other Austin social scenes.
Great pub atmosphere and decor with walls lined with brewerania, brewery signage and an old coaster collection. Lots of well-worn wood, a little compact but people have no trouble spilling out into the parking lot with folding chairs, almost in tailgating fashion. No bar-space to speak of and no table service, either.
But the selection is well worth the trip. This establishment falls into a sorta hybrid category of Beer Bar / Brewpub, with around 80 taps lined up at the bar and 3 or 4 in-house rotating brews offered, 2 or 3 casks also. (They brought six house brews to the festival the next day, so they seem to have a good selection, range and quality.) No bottles or food that I saw.
A bit noisier and active than a traditional British pub but very well done.
