Poured in to a pint glass
A: This beer pours an opaque black with a 1/2 inch of light brown head. Head recedes immediately leaving minimal to no lacing.
S: Nose is chocoalte, toffee and a healthy dose of hazelnut.
T: Taste - taste completely like a Skor bar in liquid form!! Chocolate at the forefront that blends nicely in to toffee. These two flavors hold through as a touch of nuttiness comes in. The flavors come in seperately but meld together in the finish with almost a peanut butter aftertaste in the finish. Delish!
M: Lighter side of medium body, medium carbonation, crisp and clean.
O: Goes down easy, tasty, not too filling, mild kick, nice variation of the style. This isn't a typical beer - you could have this as dessert! Seriously reminded me of a Skor bar...

Poured from bomber into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep brown nearly black color with a big billowy tan head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving only a light level of lace on the sides of the glass
Smell- The aroma is quite heavy of roasted malt and a semi sweet chocolate smell. Mixed with these aromas are some sweeter caramel and vanilla aromas as well as the lightest touch of a nutty smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted malt and cocoa flavor. As the flavor moves on it sweetens more as flavors of a caramel sweetness and vanilla enter the taste. These bring a more milk chocolate like flavor to the tongue. Toward the end however, the chocolate flavors of the brew grow even stronger bringing back a more cocoa and less milk chocolate flavor to the tongue. In the end, with a light hop flavor of a earthy nature and a light nutty flavor coming to the tongue, a lightly bittered semi-sweet chocolate flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is slightly on the lower side. The lower carbonation accentuates the dark roasted flavors as well as the chocolate flavors rather nicely, although a slightly thicker body may have enhanced these even more.
Overall- A rather tasty and sweeter chocolate porter. While not the most potent or flavorful overall it is rather easy to drink and quite satisfying. Not bad.
