A - Poured a small one-finger, cream head that dissipated quickly. Dark brown with a hint of red when held up to the light. A nice looking ale. 3.5
S - Roasted malt smell with a hint of cocoa, fig, and plum. Slightly fruity and roasty...an interesting combination that works out really well. 4.0
T - Slightly sweet malt flavor with a twang of bitterness right from the start. Follows up with a burst of fruity flavor, chocolate, espresso, and more roasted malt. Bitter hop flavor at the end is subtle but inviting. 4.0
M - Very smooth with little carbonation. Medium bodied and yields a slight tingle on the sides of the tongue. 3.5
O - I have to say I've always had a soft spot for Legend Brewing Co. As a Richmond local and a lover of brown ales, this beer has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Make sure to try the Porter if you have the chance! 4.0
