Very tasty beer! I would say it's more of an American-style maibock because it doesn't resemble the traditional german maibocks I've had. The malt is sweeter and more caramely than usual. But in a very good way! Almost reminiscent of a maple brown ale.

Also, the abv listing on BA is inaccurate as of 3/2012. The abv on my bottle says 7%, which I think is stronger than usual for this style of beer. But again, I'm not complaining. You would never know it's so strong from the flavor.

Nice Maibock. Pours a crystal clear copper color with a big white head. Good head retention and plentiful scattered bands of lacing.

Aroma is bready and caramel malt, grassy hops and some toffee type aroma.

Taste is more of the same, mostly a malty beer, but the grassy hops bitterness shows up in the finish.

Mouthfeel is light and crisp, like most lagers. There is a little alcohol presence as well.

Overall a nice winter/spring beer.

Poured from the bottle into a pilsner style glass.

Real nice looker of a bock. Great foamy carbonation off the pour settling to a solid foamy off white head. The body is a wonderful golden light bronze, quite light but wit a nice cascading amount of rising carbonation bubbles through it's crystal clear body.

Real nice bouquet. Good hints of light airy cinnamon and brown toast and mild sugar. Real nice malt backbone depth on this. Good amounts of nutmeg like warmth and sweetness but nothing sugary. Really nice bouquet, liking where this is going.

Palate lacks some of the diversity experienced on the nose. Subdued malt backbone on first sip. Clean finish, with a little hint of crisp but some decent density. A bit of sticky yeast dominating instead of the sugar and spicy aromas that don't seem to come through as much on the palate. The palate does present some nice sweet nutmeg and light brown sugars hinted on the nose, but they are not in the front compared to the sticky yeast that coats and takes over.

Overall a pretty decent bock regardless, good one to know about, might even be one of Legend's better brews as well.

Poured a bottle and a half into a 1/2 liter stein.Pours a clear rich copper/bronze with a nice looking fluffy white head.great color clarity and crown.Aromas of sweet pizza dough,a hint of iron, and faint spicy hops.Flavors have some crispness with sweet dough again being prominant, mild alcohol comes into play along with that iron as well, not much hop presence although I detect faint spiciness.A better than average maibock although maybe not the best beer of choice on a warm day like today. To me it seems bigger than what it is.

First had: on tap at Legend

Clear amber pour with a ringlet of white bubbles. Light aroma of caramel malts, diacetyl, mild grassy hops. More of this in the taste, sweet, thinned out caramel malts, grains, diacetyl off-flavors, light grassy and earthy hops. Light body. Overall not impressive and even a bit messy, which is not good for a style that really shouldn't be that hard to formulate.

12oz. Lighter copper hued pour, bubbly white ring on top.

Aroma, very bready, some caramels.

Taste, fantastically bready. Some toasted notes, toffee some chocolate sneaks in there.

Lighter body, soft carbonation. A flavorful sessionable beer.

I heard this place makes some nice traditional German style brews, this did not disappoint.
