This mildly spiced ale starts with a nice fruity aroma while the moderately carbonated body exudes notes of ginger, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. Toasted sweet dark malts and American hops balance out this unmistakably Christmas brew!

Pours a dark red color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of cinnamon and other spices. Tastes of cinnamon. Nicely spiced. Crisp and dry. Enjoyable.

Frankenmuth Christmas Town Ale pours a light to medium hazy brown into a pint glass, with a 1 inch off white fizzy head that quickly recedes. There is enough carbonation to form minor lacing as you progress through consumption. The nose is mild, with a modest holiday spice blend of cinnamon and nutmeg,A taste makes it more obvious that holiday spicing is evident, as are malty notes and a pleasant mild cocoa sweetness. The beer is moderate in every conceivable way, but is quite thoughtfully constructed.. the flavors intertwine nicely, the 6% ABV is modest but appropriate, the mouthfeel is good, neither watery nor sticky, and the brew is overall, eminently drinkable. This is a good choice for a daily drinker of seasonal spiced ales during the holiday season.

The spices are pretty subtle, not overpowering which I appreciated. The taste is sweet and malty. It's quite drinkable. Overall, it was good. I would buy it again.

Poured from bottle to nonic pint glass. Tawny copper in color with a finger of off white foam that dissipates pretty quickly. Aromas of sweet, warm malt. Caramel, dark bread, biscuit, some spice, some floral. Flavor is sweet and malty, with caramel, biscuit, warm spices, black tea leaves, and an herbal finish. Medium thin feel.

Look: Clear amber with basically no head.
Smell: Malt-heavy, but with a distinct odor of spices. I can make out cinnamon and nutmeg most clearly.
Taste: Malt and nutmeg, followed by a bitterness without hopiness left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel: Thicker than an average amber ale, with minimal carbonation.
Overall: A neat seasonal beer, but not quite excellent enough to want full time.

Pours red-brown, nice color. Almost no head and no lacing.
Aroma of holiday spices is attractive, cinnamon, nutmeg, not sure what else, but I like it.
Taste: spice cake, gingerbread cookies, just a hint of bitterness. Overall very pleasant and would go well with a hearty holiday meal.
Mouthfeel is a bit watery, with a fair amount of carbonation.
Overall, decent but I won’t likely buy again. Nothing wrong but not my favorite glass of holiday ale.
