Brewed in true Bavarian fashion, our Oktoberfest Lager is one of our most popular seasonal releases in the fall. This Märzen-style Oktoberfest Lager uses German noble hops and four different malts to create its trademark copper color and flavor.

This one has a light fogginess and a short-lived, ecru head that becomes a thin blanket. The beer is copper/amber (SRM 13-14). Patchy rings of lace mark progress on a Bruegel dimpled mug.
The aroma is sweet with rich malt and faint toast. Light notes of spice and flowers give way to possibly clove.
The flavor follows the nose. It is sweet and the maltiness is very pleasant, with a light, toasted character. Wheat bread dough gives way to a lingering, mild finish.
A medium body with a watery texture. Alcohol is mild, as expected. The carbonation is fizzy.
This is a nice Marzen with which one could easily spend a lazy afternoon enjoying a crisp early autumn. Probably best during casual conversation with friends.

Poured a nice, copper-orange color; mild haziness; coarse carbonation; fairly thick head, light khaki colored and sticky. Excellent roasted malt and nut smell; toffee. The taste follows the smell; rich and malty; caramel and toffee notes; low-key bitterness. Medium body; nice residual sugar feel and stickiness.
A fine, no-frills, classic German fest bier.

12oz undated bottle poured into a boot mug at fridge temp 5.27% ABV 27 IBU per label. The beer pours mostly bright medium amber in color with khaki head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is faint featuring toasted malt. The taste is semisweet toasted malt with a bit of tangyness and mild bitterness. Cleanly lagered. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good Oktoberfest.

Dark copper to amber in color. There’s a fingernail of eggshell white around three quarters of the rim and covering half of the top. The aroma is of faintly bready malt. I’m tasting toasted malt. It seems a bit one dimensional and a touch watery.

This one is really good this year, it is a little lighter in mouthfeel and flavor than some of the others. It is very easy going and drinkable, great attributes for an Octoberfest in my opinion. Being a Marzen, the color is somewhat darker but still has nice clarity. It is extremely clean tasting and well brewed, please keep up the good work!

Reddish-orange color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, hops and caramel. Light to medium body with flavors of grainy malt, caramel and noble hops. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

One of Michigan's best Oktoberfest brews. I would say that it's got a good mix of caramel and bitter flavors. This is a great standard Marzen. It really holds true to the basic flavors you'd expect, with no surprises. That being said, that's also why it's a bit boring to me. It's a great beer, and really captures the traditional taste, but it's a little lack-luster. If you want a true and genuine Marzen Oktoberfest that's very predictable, this is for you!
