The copper brown is clear and dark, with one half inch of beige head above. The head faces to a thin blanket while dropping patches of lace on an old pilsner glass.
Strong, dark wheat bread leads to sweet roasted malt. It has a mild, earthy smoke and is reminiscent of wet autumn afternoons.
The flavor starts with fresh-baked bread that leads to mild molasses. Bitterness and sweetness are in balance and mild. The finish is similarly mild as it lingers.
Alcohol is below expectations. Carbonation is modest and fizzy. It has a light to medium body and a slick texture.
This is a pleasant drinking beer and would easily pair with pretzels, Summer sausage, or, better yet, Bauernwurst.

Look: Deep opaque brown with amber highlights in the light, like coffee. Very thin, white head that almost immediately dissipates.
Smell: Bittersweet, slightly smoky malt.
Taste: Subtle bittersweet malt, just barely enough bitterness to be felt on the aftertaste. Almost no hop flavor.
Mouthfeel: Very thin and highly carbonated lager.
Overall: A good beer to drink in place of a typical pale lager when having lunch, but lacking complexity.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a dark brown color with a one finger of off white foaminess that bled to a light lacing. The smell had some cinnamon, breadiness, light raisin backed up by some light caramel malts. The taste was mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors. On the palate, this one sat right at a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was pretty subdued and good to me. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Munich Dunkel to have again.

Nice color. Smells of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste nice and malty with the chocolate to boot. Goes down really smooth. So far the best i have had from this brewery
