Had to go to a wedding in Hudson and run some errands. GPS told me there was a beer store so here I am. Almost entirely devoted to macros. The micro is all on the shelf to the right when you come in completly exposed to the sun. Tons of dusty bottles are there with many expired. The prices tend to be really high for what they have. Better of getting growlers at Keagan ales. Just go to half time. The service was ok. Guy just kind of looked at me funny for buying "weird" stuff. Only go here if it is an absolut must. Next time I know to bring beer with me if I have a wedding in Hudson.

What can I say about half this store is devoted to macro. There are about three full shelves of warm imports and micros. They had a decent selection of bombers 16.9 oz and 750ml botteles. They also had a walk in cooler which has some micros as well mostly the same as whats on the shelf. Its not a bad store but it has the potential to be so much better. This place lives up to the discount part of their name with their focus on cases of macro. Worth a visit if your in the area its still the best choice in Kingston.

While in work exile in Kingston, NY, I of course took in the area brewpubs and beerbars. But I had a dinner at friends locally and didn't want to show up empty handed (and play "someone else's beer roulette").
Right out on the main drag, here's Brice Discount Beverage.
Standard macros for a discount bevee, a good selection of american micros from afar (Rogue, Grants, Wild Goose, Sierra Nevada), and regional (Sam Adams, Otter Creek, Harpoon, Brooklyn, Victory, Dogfish Head, Ommegang) and some standards imports (Youngs, Fullers, Sam Smith, Schneider, Affligem, Caracole).
They've got a big walk in cooler room, so you can buy a good deal of this stuff cold. Nothing crazily outrageous but amazingly convenient if you need a good beer for a barbeque or dinner and you don't want to trudge a half hour to Half Time.
