Smoked beer well hopped. Their IPA base with lots of sweet smoked malt. So getting contradiction of C-hops and the sweet smoked malt. Not as nicely integrated as hoped but still interesting to drink after a hot day. Big lace and head and well drinkable. Different hops and some dry hopping may have worked better. On tap at the brewery.

Poured on-tap at the Tampa Bay Brewing Co brewery in Ybor City. The beer was served in a pint glass, and pours a clear, pale, copper coloring with little to no head to speak of. Aromas are very smooth and mild douglas fir, with citrusy highlights. The flavor is smooth malt and crisp, bitter hops with a wallop of smoke at the end. The smoke flavor is similar to dousing campfire coals with water at the end of the night. The aftertaste is all burnt coal smoke. The finish lingers quite a bit, similar to a smoldering fire. Interesting, but a slight miss for me. The smoke, which I love, overpowers a tad bit too much for the style. Very unique, though!
