Presentation: Very ornate 750ml swing top bottle, something akin to a bottle of fine cognac. The silk screened logo on the front with some stickers on the neck and over the swing top. No freshness mark or anything.
Appearance: Nice golden straw color. Slightly hazy from the yeast. A lively beer, with the carbonation exploding when it hits the glass. A white foam head forms easily with excellent retention and lacing. 4.6% ABV.
Aroma: Nice malty aroma with a touch of acidity and a very faint aroma of coriander.
Taste: The mild acidity comes up first, with the slightly sweet malt body shining through with a floral coriander flavor in the middle, before fading to a tart and dry finish. The salinity is perceptible but it lends more of a mineral and metallic quality rather than salty.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied beer. The heavy carbonation makes it quite refreshing.
Notes: I've been looking for the original for quite some time and here it is. The acidity is refreshing and the salinity adds an extra dimension of flavor. It is a great beer on a hot summer day.

$ 3.49/11.2oz bottle at Heinen’s in Breckville, OH
Undated bottle at 40 degrees into Sam Adams lager glass
Aroma very faint lemon
Head small (2 cm), white, fizzy, rapidly diminishing to 2mm ring
Body medium yellow, cloudy, some lumps
Flavor definitely salty, hint of lemon; no hops, no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate light to medium, watery, lively carbonation
A very good example of the style – the murky appearance and lumps are somewhat off-putting, but the salty refreshingness is well worth it. Close your eyes.
