750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep golden body. Small white head. Thick collar.

Smell - Spicy. Vanilla gives it some depth. Light bit of cola or root beer aroma. Cardamon is strong, too.

Taste - Lightly tart. Very lightly tart. Wheat and very light grain. Cardamon is strong here too. Vanilla and very spicy in the finish. I don't get a lot of salt, but it's got some mineral character back there.

Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation. Light body.

Overall - Loaded with spice, which keeps it interesting.

Enjoyed this one tonight at Bittercreek.... Pours the standard pale golden... slightly hazed... a bit more head retention than the Pineus.

Nose has all the standard Leipziger qualities, but is punctuated by something that makes me thin Xmas spices.... Clove oil.

Flavor mirrors the aroma with a more pronounced clove, but also with some orange zest and hints of dusty nutmeg.

Okay.... I am glad I got a chance to try this one, but I like the Pineus and the standard gose much better.
