Poured a light golden colour with next to no head which pretty much instantaneously disappeared. No lacing whatsoever (though I didn't finish the glass but I'm pretty sure there wouldn't have been any even if I did)
The smell reminded me of burned bread. Not the sort of smell a beer should have.
The taste reminded me very much of yeast but with another flavour I couldn't quite describe. In all honesty, I would get better flavour from just eating powdered yeast.
Mouthfeel was rather slimy/watery. Not something I'll ever drink again. Matter of fact I won't be finishing it...

Pours amber with a large fading head.
Nose shows vegetal notes, bready malt, and the usual coopers banana-like yeast. Also some faint spicy hops.
Better flavours, more focus on the bready malt and spicy hops. Finishes a little harsh though with POR metallic notes amongst the bitterness.
Body seems a bit watery and under-carbonated.

Pours a very pale straw color with about a cm of chunky head that fades away pretty quickly. Smells watery and a little yeasty, not all that pleasant. Tastes like one of the coopers 'lager' ale kits. My least favorite of the coopers homebrew kits. There's no distinct flavors there, it's mildly sweet, mildly bitter, but nothing I can pinpoint. Mouthfeel is a bit fizzy and a little heavy, nothing special. Overall, I guess it'd be fairly drinkable to someone that's more interested in being trendy than enjoying their beer.

This pours a clear straw colour with very little head. The beer looks dead in the glass not long after pouring.
Awful cereal like aromas dominate. Where are the saaz hops?
Some light phenolics come through on the palate. Wasn't expecting that. None of those on the nose. Not what I want in a pils. Less maltiness than I was expecting.
Didn't get any real bitterness either.
Oh Coopers, why?

Overall very lousy & unimpressive...
Best thing was appearance, only just...minimal head, lacing, & carbonation...
Smell was nearly absent, maybe some sulpur & a touch of fruit...but only just...for a pils I was hoping for a little boutique nose...
Taste was very mainstream 'aussie' - that VB / CUB chemical taste...this is where I think Coopers wanted this to be...to somehow go up against CUB...WHAT A SHAME!!!!
Mouthfeel was um...nah...lost interest!! cya!!!

This just garbage from Coopers, I've given it 3 chances now and it just gets worse everytime.
Appearance - Really fizzy bubbles streaming up and sticking to the side of the glass, head... what head it died basically straight after a decent pour. Piss yellow colour nothing strange there.
Smell - Where the hops?? Got some grassy metallic macro grains and thats it, smells like VB or New. Disgusting.
Taste - Like the smell, no hops of notice...wheres the saaz?? This is supposed to be a premium beer for which I paid a premium price. Metallic malty taste, leaves a gross taste in the mouth. Nothing like a pilsner Id think it was a lager blindfolded.
Mouthfeel - Rubbish, watery, undercarbonated.
Overall - FORGET IT...seeing as Coopers Extra Stout is one of my favorite Aussie beers this offering is just horrible. I've just sent Coopers a rather long email about this one..hopefully someone over there reads the other reviews on here and takes note of what I've said.

Hadn't heard anything about this and just happened to stumble across it. Not much info on the bottle about whether it's a once off or an ongoing addition to the Coopers range. Pours a very pale straw with a soft head that left minimal lacing. Fairly unexciting on the nose with some cereal notes and the faintest hint of floral hops. Not getting those saaz hops up my nose. A little lower in carbonation than I was hoping for. Bitterness is also lower than where I would expect it for a pils. Not an unpleasant beer but pretty ordinary, especially from Coopers. Not sure what the story is with this beer. Begs the question...why bother?

Not exactly what I'd consider a Pilsner. Flavour was minimal and not what I'm used to tasting when drinking Pilsners. The beer is somewhat refreshing, but does not reflect its promoted style I believe this to be an attempt by Coopers to appear a diverse brewer, but this beer is a fail. The worst Pilsner I've had and the worst Cooper's beer I've had.

Pours a pale champagne appearance, golden in colour with extreme effervescence throughout. Bead is powerful and thick, fedding a moderately thick head of white foam that sinks slowly from the top, leaving a few patches of lace. Looks pilsenery, but not sensational.
Nose is moderately phenolic, and almost vinous, with a light tart edge and a fruity boozey character just tickling the senses. Hops are quite prevalent, lightly floral and almost piney, with an autumnal kind of smell of dried leaves and resin. Doesn't have an enormous amount of aroma, but what's there is quite enjoyable.
Taste is a mélange of bitter with little in the way of maltiness, or anything else. Lightly phenolic alcohol, vinously tart and with a hint of lychee on the front, then descends into a long, resiny bitterness that becomes more aggressively bitter as it profresses, resulting in a small abyss of puckering hoppiness. I'm not entirely sure but knowing Coopers I suspect it's hopped with predominantly POR which just doesn't suit the pilsener profile. There is nothing floral about the hops, and the finish almost tastes stale.
The dankness of the bitter taste is such that is spoils any real 'refreshment' and the palate is completely without nuance, just a bombardment of bitterness, like having a conversation with Gore Vidal about his loving relationship with Truman Capote.
The mouthfeel is quite tingly from the strong carbonation, although a little sticky, which doesn't sit quite right with the bitter flavour.
Although the Pride of Ringworm is used more interestingly here than in most Australian piss, its mostly unpleasant flavour reminds one why the variety is such a stigma of the Australian beer scene. It doesn't fail to make what might have been an OK beer quite distasteful.

Atrocious beer, completely unlike most of the Coppers stable.
Froths in the mouth cold like the usual mass market Aussie junk and tastes something like a bad version of Hahn Premium or Cascade Premium.
Bland and tasteless with no evidence of hoppiness good Pilsners are accustomed to - I tasted the lack of Saaz straight away.
I can't be bothered writing anymore on this very lame marketing exercise.

I must admit i was suprised to see this new offering from Coopers as i have never heard of it,it pours a pale golden see thru champagne colour with a nice frothy one finger head, sparkling carbonation and bubbly clingy lacing,it has a green, grassy hop aroma with a malty background,it has a thin mouthfeel even thinner for the style for my liking and the taste isnt as pleasant as it looks it has tastes of watery hops with a feint grainish aftertaste not as great as i was hoping for but definately better than the other macro swill out there.

A - yelow, golden with a medium stream of carbonation
S - Plain, some hop aroma but the ever worrying smell of macro brewing techniques
T - Cerial grains and typical macro sweetness. It says sazz hops but im getting none if very little. Some grassy bitterness but missing the mark for pilsner freshness
M - Metalic and hard, some ok balance
D - Avoid, I wasnt expecting much but even still I was let down but this beer. Thats two in a row now from coopers.

Horribly disappointing, a bad beer from a good brewery. Obviously only made for the TED/Corona drinking market, but frankly I think this may be worse than both.
