On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear medium amber color with a small beige head. Aroma is perfumey and sweet, lots of syrupy notes with grapefruit underneath. Flavor is like grapefruit juice, but not really in the desirable way. Imagine drinking a glass of overripe grapefruit squeezings mixed with maple syrup and iced tea. I do appreciate the fullness of body and flavor, which is a rarity with this brewery, but there's just too much crystal malt here, which is a hallmark of this brewery. Bitterness is present but not nearly significant enough to dry out this beer. Alcohol isn't overt but I can detect some fusel notes that are mostly hidden by the sweetness.
