This is what you pour through your mouth when you get home from another day of hard labor at the kolkhoz. While nothing special, it does satisfy your thirst fairly well . A pilsner beer that's nothing to be ashamed of.

Out of a bottle, delivered to me from Russia by my fantastic gf, this beer was a 24k gold, clear color with lots of visible rising carbonation. The white head quickly rose, and then quickly died. The aroma was of rice, some pilsner malt and crystal malts with a hint of sweetness underneath. The flavors were good, but quite milktoast. I tasted clean, dry malts, rice, hints of caramel malt followed by some very macro, generic flavors. However, this was immediately followed by a note of sweetness on the clean finish that lingered pleasantly on my tongue. It was highly drinkable as far as the style goes and I could see it being consider highly refreshing by some. The mouthfeel was average, the body med/light and the carbonation frothy. This beer has got to be amongst the best I've tried of the style due to the fact that it actually had flavor and the flavors were actually pretty good. For example, this beer with pretzels would be, well, KLASSICHESKOYE!

Ever wanted to try a Siberian budweiser? Here it is, folks! Pours light gold, with a fizzy white head that leaves no lace or collar. The nose is malty grain, while the mouth is, well, prickly wet paper. The taste is classic ballpark bud: watery grain, no hopes, just a bit sweetish. There is little, if any, finish leading to a grainy-ricey aftertaste. The label conforms with the purity law, but I doubt that the contents do. Not a good beer.
