Voll-Damm has a thick, white head a of foam and a clear, copper appearance, with heavy lacing. The aroma is of white bread crust. The flavor is of honey, white bread crust, some toast, and some sweetness. Voll-Damm has a high-medium body and a fairly crisp finish.

Draft at BCN airport. Both Voll Damm and Estrella Damm are way better on draft in Spain than reviews! Impressive cheap common beer!

“Voll-Damm”
33cl brown glass bottle coded “10/23 L191500” and sampled on 23 November 2022

Notes: Brewed with Nugget, Magnum, and Taurus and dry-hopped with Hallertau.
Look: Clear deep amber in color beneath a short head of white foam. Average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Herbal and spicy over a grainy malt base.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma in reverse with the bready malt ahead of the floral, herbal, and spicy hops. A solid bitterness anchors it and leads to a dry, bitter, herbal, and spicy finish.
Feel: Medium bodied and somewhat dextrinous with a crisp carbonation.

Saw a can at a convenience store near my hostel in Barcelona and figured I’d try something labeled “Marzenbier.” Well, if it is, it’s certainly the worst I’ve ever had. Wow.

I tried a bottle of this beer at Sancho Casual Food in Granada. It poured a clear amber with white head that disappeared and did not leave any lace. The scent had grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base and good grain presence with subtle corn highlights and a dry finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

330 ml can, bought in Spain. ABV is 7.2%. Golden colour, large white head. Decent floral aroma, hints of malts and some fruit. Low carbonation in the mouth. The flavour is sweet, malty and alcoholic, hints of honey, some bitterness in the finish. Too sweet for me, really, but not undrinkable. I drank it at cellar temperature, possibly slightly better if colder.

one of the sturdier and more malty beers we had in spain, especially from a larger producer, quite german in its makeup, real hearty and fresh to me for a style i dont usually notice that in, and a good food companion, although with a massive paella and a beer this dense, i packed quite a full belly. nice medium amber color on this, great clarity from the bottle, and a long lasting inch of just off white head, churning and frothy, looks great in the glass. the nose is sweet malty, caramel and toffee to me, some light nuttiness, and a distinct german malty breadiness, the yeast is somewhat subtle here, some minerals in the water show through, and some bittering hops as well, on the herbal side. the flavor is slightly one dimensional, not a ton of depth to this malt, sweet, fresh baked, and very autumnal to me, maybe slightly metallic as it sits, and filling, but pleasant to me, a bit of floral hops along with their bitterness help it finish on the crisp side for the style, and its nicely carbonated too which helps with drinkability, needed. the yeast is solid, old world european and somewhat in the background. i get a little graham cracker in the flavor profile, and this seems to excel with salty foods. better than its ratings, and one of their more robust offerings, a fun mix up to all the lighter lagers more common in these parts...
