Six pack from Publix for the hotel room while in Hollywood for a deposition. Very crisp, refreshing Euro-lager that goes down quick and easy. Highly recommended for session drinking if it were a little cheaper.

Poured into a pint glass, light straw color thin head that remained until the end.
I get the fruity back note. It is smooth and crisp reminiscent of an American light beer.
Nice, but not my go to beer.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for an import but doesn't want a heavy beer

Looks like a fairly standard euro lager, with straw colour and little head. Scent is barely present, though what is there brings up faint barley. Taste is very pleasant, bringing up an indescribable berry taste almost. Very crisp finish, with some of the fruitiness sticking around after. This is a very enjoyable lager, I don't think it deserves the rating it gets here.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Pooler, GA
This beer has the traditional BMC look of pale straw color with a medium white head. The aroma is mostly grain and malt (not horrible). The flavor is grass and hops, the palate is semi-dry and this beer overall is not horrible but forgettable.

Poured from 330cl bottle into pilsner glass.

Appearance: pours a 2" frothy white head that drops rapidly with scant lacing. Color is clear light gold with a small amount of particles in suspension. Moderate streaming carbonation.
Aroma: mild but pleasant aroma of white bread, a bit of fruity and floral hops.
Mouthfeel: light and fairly crisp with a dry finish.
Flavor: lightly toasted barley malt, some ripe fruit, and floral hops.
Overall: enjoyable and easy drinking. No obvious flaws.

This fine lager is snubbed by reviewers. It's fine!
Served on draft at Blue Boar Bar at Conrad St James London.
e.g. (perhaps sucks in the imported bottle...)

A: Tight foaming, good retention, filtered clarity with a yellow straw color.

S: Faint. Sugary cereal w a bit of hops. Weak.

T: Typical Euro-lager with some maltiness and corn, and then just enough hops are bitter and a clean refreshing finish.

F: Smooth as any pale lager could be. Dry.

OK only.

Poured into a Stella Artois chalice.

Look: Pale straw colored body with a white head that recedes to a wisp. Pretty nice random foamy lacing.

Aroma: Faint malts and grains, slightly sweet.

Taste: Non-distinct malts, a little papery on the taste. Finishes with bittering hops, somewhat of a grassy note.

Mouthfeel: Medium to light, a bit creamy.

Overall: Forgettable, but not awful. Not worth the price point.

Nice and clear, very pale incredibly fizzy.
Not much aroma at all, little bready maybe a little corn.
Taste again bit bready as expected bit too aggressively carbonated.
When options are incredibly limited Stella 4%, Budweiser and keg Bombardier it's not too bad in other situation I would stay clear.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of fizzy foam that fades very fast. Upon fading it leaves a very light level of fizzy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is a mix of a grainy, bready and slightly hay-like smells. Along with these aromas comes some smells of a light fruitiness and a little bit of a grassy smell.

Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter and fruitier taste with a little breadiness backing up the sweet. .The sweet is mainly of a caramel taste with the fruit being of a more apple and apricot flavor. As the taste advances some light earthy and herbal flavors come to the tongue and in the end, leave a rather crisp but fruity and sweeter flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the crisp nature, the thinner body is quite nice, although for the lager style a little more carbonation may have made it slightly more refreshing. Overall the feel was decent.

Overall – Crisp and refreshing, but nothing all that extraordinary here. A decent summer party brew.

look: 2.5 | smell: 2.75 | taste: 2.5 | feel: 2.25 | overall: 2.5

Format: a standard light brown 330mL bottle with a standard macro label.

Appearance: pours out a light straw yellow with a pretty poor white head that disappears pretty much immediately. No lacing.

Aroma: a light aroma of some sweet malts and a touch of citrus. Not bad, but very faint.

Taste: once again those light sweet malts with a touch of grain and metallic carbonation. Not brilliant.

Aftertaste: the dull off-metal flavour lingers, the malt does not. No hop bittterness either.

Mouth feel: very light in body with a moderate carbonation. Could use a lot more carbonation to carry more flavour. Might make it a bit more refreshing also.

Overall: a pretty ordinary and cheap-tasting lager , particularly for AU$50 a case. No way - there are much better lagers for less.

I'm not a fan of the romance beer, I mean french, spanish, italian. This lager is not a typical european lager. It's something strange. It's not bad, and it's not good. It's average beer.

So I'm a beer guy and went to Portugal and Spain. Was on a structured trip, so didn't get to get to anywhere with very good beer. But I got to sample the BMC of their countries . . .

I kinda liked this one. I mean, it was a simple fizzy yellow beer, but I had worse on the trip.

Aroma (3.5): Smells decent enough for the style.
Appearance (4): Nice golden color. Just like a lager should be.
Taste (4): You get a little malt and more hop taste than you'd think. It may have just been bitter, and I was craving hops and took it that way.
Palate (3.5): No real complaints, nothing to write home about either.

On tap in a pint glass

A - White, light 1 finger head that dissipates somewhat slowly. Beer is a pale straw in color and is clear. Seems to be highly carbonated. 3.5/5

S - Malted grains. Earthy. A hint of spiciness. Possibly grass from the hops. 2.5/5

T - Seems to be mainly a flavor of base malt. Nothing really sweet. Maybe a bit of roasted malt. Grassy with a bit of spiciness. A bit of a peppery note. A hint of biscuit and possibly even a bit metallic. 2.5/5

M - Very light and crisp. Highly carbonated. Scrubbing bubbles sensation. Nice palate cleanser. 3/5

O - Light and crisp, refreshing lager that is a nice cold drink but not a whole lot in the way of flavor. Will not be buying a 6 pack anytime soon but happy to have had the chance to try this with dinner. 2.75/5

Come to find out this brew I had was expired/Outdated

Estrella Damm brewed by Damm S. A. This brew pours out a cloudy amber color with a small white head. This brew has alot of floating stuff in the bottom of the glass. The smell is rich and sweet with some grains. There is a lot of sweetness in the smell of this brew. The taste is different from most brews on the market. It really does not taste like beer. This is more fruity and non beer tasting. This brew is smooth but it different. This was not what I was expecting. Not a bad brew but not a good brew. I don't believe I would get this brew again. Overall I'm giving this brew a 2.75 out of 5

On tap at the 9th door in Lodo, this was the only draft offering and I'd already ticked the bottles they had. Bright yellow, fizzy looking lager. Aroma was nothing to write home, typical lager grains and a hint of mineral. The flavor was not half bad, pretty standard fizzy lager, crisp refreshing, easy to drink, not sure why this gets such low reviews.

500ml can. Lager glass. Sugar & cabbage as tap is removed. Bright straw color, filtered appearance. White forth creates a correct crown even though not very well attached. Sulfur, moldy & cardboard odors. Crispy & grainy upfront. Light to medium body. Medium moderate to high carbonation. Watery texture. Fizzy & spicy palate. Metalic hues, grainy malt flavor linger into a slight bitter finish touched by sweetish artificial notes.

On tap into a pokal-style glass.

A-The beer is pale, light-golden in color and clear. A good bit of carbonation is visible and props up the short, white head for a while. A wisp or two of lace remains on the glass after the head fades. Pretty standard-looking adjunct lager.

S-The aroma is heavy on the cooked vegetables, corn in particular. There is a bit of graininess, but less of the metallic-tinny aroma that often overwhelms macro adjunct beers. Hops are mostly an afterthought.

T-The taste tracks the smell with cooked corn being the most prevalent flavor. There is also a bit of buttery taste. The finish dries out and ends with a puff of crispness. If I were to stretch, the finish has a pils-like quality to it.

M-The feel is light to medium in heft (when compared against other adjunct lagers) and the carbonation is active, but not overly fizzy. Crisp and pretty easy to drink.

O-This beer is not going to win any awards from me, but I don't think it compares poorly to other macro adjunct lagers. It packs a bit more flavor than say, Coors Light or Bud Light, etc., and it doesn't have the skunky rotten vegetable flavor that I get from big Mexican lagers like Corona. Of course, the real question is: Why drink this over a good pils or other craft lager?

I have consume this beer in numerous places in the United States, Spain, Morocco, and El Salvador; fairly uniformly tasting in all these countries. Pours bright yellow, foamy/soapy head that dissipated rapidly, and average carbonation. the aroma disappeared rapidly after pouring, it had a watery taste. with hops, wheat, rice, and malty yeast mixed in there. No real edge and pretty light filling.

500 ml can purchased from LCBO and served cold into a pint glass.

Appearance - Clear golden color and very bubbly looking. 1 finger of white head with surprisingly decent retention time is poor. No lacing to speak of.

Smell - Grassy, slight sweet. Also slight metallicness that is not-offputting. "beer" is the best way to describe this smell.

Taste - Clean and clear, slight metallicness and also slight breadiness and not much else. OK for adjuncts but not impressive.

Mouthfeel - Nothing weird or unpleasant and has moderately high carbonation. Not much esle other than a generic AAL or EPL feel.

Overall - One of the better AAL's I've had but that's not terribly inspiring and the tap selection would have to be really poor for me to order this on tap.

I had this beer on my first visit to Barcelona and didn't realize it was their local beer until I tried to find it in the States. At first taste it wasn't a winner but after the second round I realized this was going to be a favorite. This beer is impossible to find back home but there is a bar in Venice beach near the pier that has it available, and I always make sure to have a round when I am in town.

I don't normally completely hate any AAL's, but this is one that I'd love to never have again. It smells of skunky hay, and tastes the same way. The worst thing about this beer though, is the aftertaste. I say this in a decent number of my reviews but it has an "off" bitterness. It's weird. It's unwelcome. It's gross. It's a metallic sort of bitterness that ruins an already pretty awful beer. Considering the 67 rating (which isn't bad by any means for an AAL), I'll have to just guess that this is a skunked bottle... it sure tastes and smells like one. Pass.

330ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear medium gold with a one finger white head. Some fairly large chungs of foam stick around on the head and the sides of the glass which is kind of surprising for the style.

Aroma of sweet corn and bread with some floral/grassy hops. Fairly typical for the style but this is a little richer.

Somewhat robust bread and corn to start out the flavor but then alcohol comes rushing in along with an overbearing sweetness. Some grassy hops but it is buried. Very light bitterness and a lingering sweetness that is hard to shake.

Overall, another poor Euro lager that is too sweet for its own good. There are many good examples of the style out there but this isn't one of them.

I guess im not sure why this one has such low reviews, I thought it to be a far superior beer to the average euro lager. it pours beautiful and elegant into a tulip, with crystal clear golden hues and about an inch of white head that doesn't recede one bit. nice lacing left behind, and lazy carbonation haphazardly rising to the surface. the nose is a little dusty, some Czech or german pilsener malts for sure, and just a very common lager yeast. the taste is indeed bready akin to the pilsener style, but it has a lot less hops, and is instead balanced by a dryer malt complexion that finishes impossibly clean. it may get a little filling over time, but a few of these to me is a pretty solid session. excellent carbonation and a sturdy body for its color. I have no problem with this beer at all, a nice surprise from a champagne bar in Chicago.
