330 ML bottle
Served in a tumbler

A - It is golden in color and clear. It is topped with four inches of fluffy white head.

S - The smell is sweet and faint with a slight metallic smell.

T - It starts out tasting a lot like a European pale lager. But I don't get that skunky or metallic taste. This beer is actually better than most Euro lagers I have tried. It has a clean finish.

M - Moderately thin but not watery

O - It 's actually not bad. I was expecting something horribly and am pleasantly surprised. That said, it is not a great beer. It is better than an adjunct lager so celiac disease sufferers can enjoy that.

330mL bottle purchased at Huckleberry’s in Spokane for $1.59. I purchased this because I hadn’t tried it before and I had never drank a beer from Spain. According to the label on the neck, this was best before July, 2014. For what it's worth, the label is slightly different than the one pictured here. There's a little bit of English-language boilerplate about this being a "Premium Quality Lager Beer" just below the name.

Poured a just-dark-of-golden color, with a little chill haze. There was a big, bone-white fluffy head that hung around for quite a while and left lots of lace on the sides of my glass.

Ah, the smell of adjuncts. However, there’s no skunkiness, either.

Mildly grassy hops and cereal grains in the flavor. It has that generic flavor that millions the world over know as “beer flavor.” Not really much flavor to discern here, just a typical Euro lager.

Totally average mouthfeel for the style - a little watery but not to a point unusual for what kind of beer this is.

A well-made but ultimately not very interesting Euro lager. This compares favorably to some others in the style, but it’s nothing I would ever go out of my way for, or feel the need to try again.

12 oz. bottle poured into pilsener

L: yellow, crystal clear, loads of bubbles rising in the column, decent 1/2-inch or so of white foam -- classic lager look. little to no lacing/sticking, so it's not perfect, but, man is this what beer should look like.

S: biscuits ... biscuity malt isn't super sweet -- just the dough, no sugar; hint of floral hops but only a hint; loads of grain, cereal ... rice ... a hint of corn but again, just a hint

T: solid. gluten-free doesn't mean tasteless ... follows the nose closely only it tastes sweeter than it smells; bread/biscuit malt, grain, little hop bite ... more like a hop taste, only here it tastes more spicy/earthy than floral

F: drinkable, carbonated, perhaps a bit light but doesn't come off watery

O: I could drink a lot of this ... the fact that it's "gluten-free" is its only bell or whistle -- it's just a good-tasting pale lager with a little malt, a little hops, nothing overdone. it tastes better at the start, then diminishes just a bit as you work down the glass, but the carbonation is holding up, and it's not turning me off.

not overly expensive considering the novelty of gluten free ... $5.99 for a 4-pack for me at local big liquour/beer/wine chain Spec's. that's under 13 cents/ounce, which puts it in range of most craft beers.

Pours a medium-pale straw yellow color, with a thick, foamy head. The aroma primarily features sweet, bready malts, with only a small contribution from a must European hop profile. The flavor is likewise sweet and grainy, with bready malts up front and a more earthy bitterness dominating the finish. There is a fine, sharp carbonation, but the beer feels a little heavy for the style. Overall, this is more flavorful than most Euro lagers, but it is still not something to go to often.
