Baltic Porter aged in Copperworks Distilling Co. Gin Barrels.
Deep black with an intensely complex dark malt character. Rich flavors of roast barley, dark chocolate and molasses dominate the smooth profile of this strong lager. Aged in Copperworks Distilling Co. gin barrels to create nuanced notes of juniper, licorice and oak, with a warming finish.

Bottle at share. Dark brown with a fomay beige head. Aroma is dark malts, chocolate, brown sugar, anise. Taste is all of that with light piney notes and a nice warmth.

First off, this looks amazing. Dark brown with a magnificent beige head that leaves behind never ending lacing.
Nose is primarily chocolate with perhaps a hint of gin but I have to wonder if I'd sense it if this were a blind study.
Initial taste brings about a viciously vibrant journey that contains in near equal part, molasses, dark fruit, copperymetallic, gin and a tartness that I honestly can't nail down to one particular flavor but in there somewhere is a dash of licorice, lemon and savory spice. Yep, this one is weird as he'll and certainly proper to hold the title of allegro, as it's fast and furious and draws you in to it's madness without giving up it's true ending. You just have to hold on and keep trying to figure it out.
I let this warm up a bit but was still mystified enough by so many different tastes that I can't narrow down any one dominant taste.
Finish leaves behind an impression of juniper to be sure, but overall this isn't as cloyingly sweet as it could have been based on how massive this one was.
