Brewed in celebration of being erect for 2 million years! This NW style Double IPA doesn't mess around. Big piney, hop notes with a big malt body to back it up. One of our most popular styles.

Bomber from Grocery Outlet. Cloudy amber pour with a creamy off-white head. Rich malty aroma, woody, brown bread. Taste is strong, boozy and malty, a bit of sweetness succumbs to the ABV . What an enjoyable throwback to the early world of malty DIPAs. Beer time machine...

Sustaining, alabaster head. Clear, orange/amber appearance. Light amount of floral and spiced, medium caramelized malt, for the aroma. Very slightly sweet, citrus peel, lots of medium heavy toasted malt, for the flavor. The citrus peel bite is rather candied and trails off quite well.

a blast from the past!
Found at Capital Market in Salem OR 22 oz bomber..what else?
$8.69
Pours a dark orange , clear beer. Has a nice small creamy off white head.
Stong old style PNW malty DIPA aromas! Blended with floral and dank hopping..mainly floral in this one.
Taste sweet malts and floral hops..in extreme..getting a bit of alcohol in the finish but nothing too bad.
Mouth feel is medium with medium carbonation..get a bit sticky at the end and the after taste goes on for ever.
I liked the idea of this bad boy but in reality its pretty hard to drink much because of the sticky sweetness.
sorry

I had at the brewery in WA. Nice little place with great customer service. I rated 4 brews. This one had a great golden color and some lacing on the glass. Great citrus aroma and flavors. The ABV was good and not to prevalent. I only had 5 oz. so did not get the full affect of 9%. Great Brew, Great place.

First time I had this was at Brouwer's HopFest 2009. Was towards the end of the evening, but I still gots my scorecard!
Pours an amber color, as opposed to the orange double ipas back then. 1/3" off white head. Aroma was mainly maltiness. Clearly a big malt big ibu double going on already. Has that caramel Pine Sol aroma, guessing there are Chinook or Centennial hops in this one, or both.
Taste, yup, we're almost in double digit abv and triple digit ibu territory off the bat. You like 'em malty, bc these are maltybois. All the crystal malt and caramel sludge thickness of the era. As it warms this becomes near brutal to push through the back end. This is equal parts American barleywine. Why is this rated so high? I don't really understand.
Its got a thicker mouthfeel, hotter alcohol, one dimensional hop flavor, bad format. The bitterness, caramel and alcohol all team up for a difficult time. But once you wreck your palate, at least its boozy time.

Pours a very nice, slightly opaque orange/copper Head is 2 fingers which hangs around, laces, slowly recedes.
Aroma is fruity malt. Even a little wine-y. Taste is caramelized hops, malty, bitter, baby (90 IBU and it shows), a trace of peach pie and grapefruit peels. Very west coast with spice and a carby resiny overload. More molasses than pine needles. I guess I mean the hops are a little sappy.
There's a barleywine sweetness to the malts, they're that forward. Doesn't have lots of nuance, and the booze is not invisible, especially when it warms a bit. Not the worst thing. I'm fighting this a bit. A bit astringent, but not shy about it.
