This is the store I have wanted to open for a long time now. Not the easiest parking lot to get into when it is dark, raining and you dont know the area, but once I was parked and in the store it was awesome. You walk into the wine section through the front door and farther into the back is all the beer. My main goal for the stop was to pick up a few bottles of Saison-Brett. Mission accomplished. They had a big Boulevard Smokestack limited series display right upon walking into the beer area. As I began to peruse I found a ton of Midwestern stuff including Bells, Founders, Goose Island (Sofie), Boulevard and many more. The import selection was equally impressive with a wide array of Cantillon, de Proef, de Struise, trappists, Dupont and many more. My main complaint was that the beer area was not quit big enough for the amount they offered. I will take that problem any day. Prices seemed just a touch on the high side but I have no problem with that when the selection is that large. A quick trip through the remainder of the store was euqally impressive. Great wine selection, big open cooler of cheese, gourment snacks, chocolate and coffee. Certainly a great store and a must stop if I ever find myself back in St Louis.

Broad geographic selection of beers, including a lot of stuff (European and other global craft beer) that you just can’t find anywhere else. Great communication via social media and the blog which keeps you in the know of all the latest beer releases. Very cool collaborations with local breweries: they donate used whisky barrels to brewers for special releases! Shelf space is somewhat limited as wine and spirits take up a lot of the store. One of my favorite places to visit!

A mighty fine store this is! Located in a somewhat awkward space inside a strip mall-cum-office building, but right next to the drinking-and-eating action of Clayton (The Libertine, one of the best restaurants in the STL area, is two doors down from the store)

Lots of brews to choose from, including a bunch from Missouri (4 Hands, Charleville, Bat Creek and of course Boulevard)… Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad! Good selection of Evil Twin, at gentle prices, and lots of singles for mix-a-six. I also eyed some brands I can’t get in the East Coast like Hoppy Brewing and Twisted Pine. Among the European offerings, Barrel Aged Scotch Ale Silly caught my attention.

Prices are truly remarkable, for example Old Ruffian ’12 for $6.99 and Yeti for $7.79. These are beers I haven’t seen marked under ten dollars since at least 2008.

Don’t forget the cheese! They do have some really good cheeses here. Service is friendly and efficient, almost eager to please. I will come back next time I’m in St Louis.

This place is closest to my home, so I frequent the most. I like it, it gets the job done, staff is always very nice. I think their selection is good, I just wish Missouri was allowed to carry more beer from different states. An extra star for being the closest to the metrolink. Literally less than a 5 minute walk from Forsyth station.

This may be one of the better beer destinations in St. Louis, but I've never been bowled over. The shop is, not surprisingly, mostly aimed at the wine and cheese crowd. Beer occupies a large back room with a few refrigerators. Local breweries are pretty well represented, but the selection is not overwhelming as a whole - a lot of the room is occupied by cases of macro brews - and prices could definitely be a bit lower. Perhaps my expectations were a little inflated given the stellar reviews here on Beer Advocate.
