Served to me blind by @LaitueGonflable, who purchased it recently in Hong Kong.

Pours a very clear and really disappointingly light-bodied yellow colour, with only a touch of white foam around the edges of the glass. No lace, not body, and a pitiful single stream of carbonation from one nucleation point in the glass. Looks like macro shite.

Nose is pounded with ricey adjuncts, leaving wet grain nothingness. To be fair, there's a touch of greenness to the brew, giving a lift above the abysmal, perhaps a touch of hops that really wants to break through. But really, this is a beer of nothingness—it smells like a mildly more potent Asahi or something. Rice, way too much rice.

Taste is clean and clear, but that's about as good as it gets. Again, there's husky rice characters giving a mild sweetness and a very blatant emptiness, and just the touch of hops to bring it into the realms of "is-it-ok-I-don't-know!", but it's really weak and disappointing, really. It's light and drinkable enough, but really, it's not very good at all.

Really? What is this? My only opinion is that it's a very generic pale brew brewed to be quaffable and devoid of flavour by someone who knew what they were doing. It's not unpleasant, it's not offensive, it's not undrinkable: it's just goddamn boring as shit.

A: clear, light, apple-flesh gold... throws up a quiet, somewhat compact, cottony foam that actually takes a couple minutes to slowly recede - ends up leaving just a weak collar on the perimeter... any lace immediately dissolves back into the liquid

S: bit of a granola and dried apple aroma... not vibrantly fruity, or vibrant in the least

T: mild maltiness similar to a dry Helles (but more like an adjunct lager)... bit of a old powdery bubblegum and a hint of clove in the aftertaste... fairly clean, crisp malt flavors... hop flavor and bitterness quite minimal

M: soft, smooth, and round... rather light-bodied with a finish that just drops off quickly yet delicately... anemic carbonation - not flat, but lacking pep

O: bottle likely had 6+ months age on it, at least... still, it was pleasant and drinkable enough for what it is - great brewing and packaging practices, no doubt

Poured from the bottle into a stemmed wine glass.

Crystal clear brass lemon yellow, not too bright. Thick fluffy white head three fingers tall off the pour and some scattered shampoo like lacing.

Aroma is clean, kind of a nice mellow grainy sweetness. Thin honey sensing, but also a bit balanced between dry and sweet. Riced aroma as expected but smells quite decent.

Palate is mild crisp with a bit of corny sweet like finish. Mellow clean finish with a simple light honey sweetness. Simple airy and light. Not overly fussel or flawed either but not much more to say.

Overall it is what a rice forward made beer is, go eat this with some shrimp crackers and it's probably the best pairing. But it doesnt get more exciting than that.

Bought this in Los Angeles. Pours a medium yellow with a nice white head. A fair amount of carbonation yet when I drink it there is not much carbonation at all. Almost flat. This is your typical malt beer that is clean. Not much body and nothing that stands out.

500ml bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: Clear gold-tinted yellow. Fizzy white head dissipates immediately. No lacing.

Smell: Soft cologne-y hop aroma is the dominant aroma. No skunk (thank you for using brown bottles). Some light breadiness underneath. Very faint lagery tang. Pleasant aroma.

Taste: Unexpectedly sweet up front. Decent burst of malt flavor leading to what-might-be-rice and moderate dryness. Pretty clean flavors, and refreshing despite the body and not-really-bone-dryness.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, almost creamy. Pretty dry, but not as dry as a pale lager like this ought to be. Sufficient carbonation. Seems weird in a way but it works.

Overall: It's no premium German lager, but there's good flavor here, and nothing off. Simple, but flavorful enough. Could easily drink a lot of this, especially on a hot day. Not half bad. Much better than Sapporo and the like.

500ml bottle -from La Tienda de la Cerveza (Madrid)- Lager glass. Golden color, crystal clear appearance. Brief crown, white in color. Lager yeast, cereal, slight sweet aromas, herbal notes & minty hues to the nose. Malty, dried & voluptuous upfront. Light to medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Sweet maltiness & rice touched by slight spicy flavors then clean & bitter flavor arises & lingers into a long bitter/sweet finish. Bitter aftertaste. Much better than regular Japanese Lagers.

Bottle at Sushi Roko, Santa Monica, CA

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down and left a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of adjunct malts are present in the nose—rice and corn seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste very much follows the smell and has bits of malty sweetness and bitterness. It becomes a little sweeter as Tge beer warms up.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer pairs well with Japenese cuisine. It is easy to drink and the adjunct malts aren't too strong.

17 oz bottle. Pours pale straw with white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of sweet malt and a hint of noble hops. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of herbal, leafy hops and sweet malt. Finish is long and dry. There is some taste in this brew.
