500ml can
Pours with a cloudy yellow body, slightly fizzy head, not great retention
Smell is yeasty with a some fruity phenols, nothing too strong though
Taste, slightly musky, hint of fruit
This is an odd hefe to say the least, it came in a can for a start, not very good

Bought at Liddle. Served cold. Poured into dimpled mug. Taken from notes. Reviewed under normal artificial light on 1-10-2009.
Appearance: Pours an interesting hazy lemon-yellow brew. Forms a white sizeable head that immediately fizzles out. No lacing aswell. Isn't particulary appetizing looking.
Aroma: The aroma is very mild with a citrus lemon-like profile. On the back there is some raw grains, clove, some coriander seeds, yeast dough and a faint adjunct like quality.
Taste: The taste is also pretty mild with a dominating citrus profile, banana notes, clove and a slight oatmeal like creaminess. Very mediocre in my opinion, tastes like a blend of 25% Generic Witbier, 25% generic Hefe and 50% watered down lemonade.
Palate: Low bitterness. Low acidity. Medium body. Low to medium low carbonation. Finishes watery. Some lingering aftertaste.
Drinkability: Severely unbalanced and not well made in my opinion; But then again it is extremely cheap at half a euro a 0,5 liter can. It is one dimensional, the flavors aren't particulary appealing or complementary making for a bad example of the style.

Cheap 50cl can from supermarket chain 'Llidl', poured into a franziskaner Weissbier glass (the only type I've got).
Looked OK, a normal murky, cloudy hefeweiss with no head and plenty of carbonisation to see rising up to the top.
The typical vanilla and banana smells were there at the start but faded somewhat during the tasting.
It was a little metallic in the taste, the flavours were there but it wasn't as refreshing or tangy as the better beers in this style.
A bit on the thin side and weak throughout the tasting.
Cheap and weak sums this beer up.
