Tasted by a half-pint at the Devonshire Cat in Sheffield, served by a sparkler pour.

A: dark golden in colour, coming with light haze, a well-lasting off-white froth and low carbonation.
S: upfront the hop resins & citrus zests abound; given a swirl, grapefruity and mild aromatic hops as in US varieties expand, leaving intensely juicy malts wrapped in the middle.
T: the foretaste is floral and citrussy, with a touch of Taiwanese Aiyu jelly, a touch of white (Muscat) grapes with a faint tartness, and wheat-ish maltiness also... In the aftertaste, the mildly sweet palate leads towards an utterly relaxing undertone of hop bitterness to last until the end, where the palate is slightly dry and lightly tannic as a result of the raw-ish, zesty hops.
M&D: juicy malts balanced by more assertive aromatic hoppiness, lingering with an impressive depth of bitterness in the long aftertaste. Mildly spritzy, the soothing fizziness makes it a very refreshing, quaffable golden bitter in winter time.
