My green 300ml bottle was full of Grolsch brewed in 'Burton -on-Trent, England'.
Grolsch has become a cheap supermarket beer here in the UK, to be drank when you are hot and thirsty, not when you fancy a beer!
I first drank this beer draught in Holland back in 1976, thirty years ago it was great, a small, local brewery run by brewers. It is now huge and run by moneymen.
Back to the beer. A basic fizzy European lager for the young British market. The bottle looks good, the beer comes out fine and retains its head, no real aroma or taste, it was however wet.
The colour is typical lager, a golden yellow with a sparkle to it, sadly that is where the sparkle ends.
Maybe the real stuff brewed in Holland is better, and tastes like I think I remember, I hope so.
