Not my favorite variation of this style but not bad. It had a golden color, so-so head and virtually no lace to speak of. It had a strong grain aroma with a hint of citrus. The flavor was malty with some fruit, mainly lemon like tones. The mouthfeel was slick and heavy.

An average bock, alcohol is quite eveidnt in the taste, but its decent and drinkable, hints of fruit, caramel, grass, but nothing much to speak of.

Bottle poured into a pils glass, showing a clear and deep golden straw with a light cap of white foam. Moderate retention and light lace follow.

Aroma of light lemony malts/hops though a bit artificial in nature. Touch of bready grain yet with a rather light sweetness for the style.

Taste is smooth and creamy with a bit of lemony bread. Quite light and lacking any caramel notes of your more traditional bock beers.

Decent carbonation. Full and easy yet rather subtle in the flavor and feel; yet not unexpected given the light bock character of the beer.

Overeall an easy quaff with a slightly artificial/pure lemon aroma that is a bit odd but surely not of the 'pledge' variety as aromas go. Thus neither positive or negative per se. A simple and drinkable brew that is in fact a bit radler/juicelike at times.

Light amber color, small head that doesn't last too long. Some light carbonation going on the in the glass.

Smell: at first there's not much, but I poured it in a large glass. Later some fruits (orange, peach), some spices that I can't really identify. Old cookies.

Taste: quite light for a 7% beer. Very fresh, light citrus, white bread, a slight grassy note. Later some grainy notes, like chewing fresh barley. After it has set a while more fruit, apples, oranges and a hint of pear. Light alcohol taste. Aftertaste is nice with a light bitter presence with a tiny acidic touch.

Mouth is not that special, very drinkable, light carbonation, coats the mouth a little. Not bad though.

Overall this is fresh, light and drinkable. Nothing really stands out though. And you don't really notice the 7% alcohol, might easily drink a bit too much of this.

This spring-bok-beer looks good. Orange-golden, clear, with an initial nice head, nice bubbles too.
Next the orange-peels, this smells a bit soapy.
The taste is syrup sweet and bitter from orange peels, unfortunately also a rather bitter aftertaste.
This beer doesn't leave you wanting more of the same.
Not a particular good one from the Grolsch brewery.

Brown 30cl bottle, best before Oct 2007, drank July 2007.

Poured into a Palm Tulip glass.

Typical light amber colour expected with a spring (lent) bok, good white head sits on top.

Very little aroma, slightly sweet toffee apple smell, but nothing much.

Sweet, caramel and candy, almost sickly sweet.

The sweetness stays, mixed with an alcohol aftertaste, which isn't my idea of a great mouthfeel.

This was a big disappointment, not what i was expecting at all, far to sweet.

Bottle of 300 ml.

Deep golden colour with a two finger head, very good retention. Lots of activity in the glass.
Smell of malts and hops, mostly the latter.
Taste is fruity and sweet.
On the body is medium thin and quite carbonated. Leaves you with some dryness on your palate.

This beer pours a bright orange color and has a 1 cm head that collapses after a few minutes.
Smell was nice, herbal and malty with a nice blossom or flowery smell.
Taste was sweet and herbal, flowery. A slight bitter and in the back some faint coriander, possibly. It tastes like a bottom fermented beer. What was sort of sweet at the beginning, is starting to bore me after a couple of sips. This is just too sweet and sticky, I can hardly get my lipps of each other. This is like tea with too much sugar. I can't drink more than one of these, so drinkability is really poor.

Golden colour, fully diminshing head. A sweet, malt and a bit fruitiness smell. Sweet/light bitter taste with hopbitterness. Medium/full body, dry, mouthsticky mouthfeeling. Finish is also dry, but with some sweet and spicy elements.
Have had better maibocks, nothing special.

a Very nice golden colour with a good foamy head.

The smell brings some freshness, lighty citrus elements in it. Some spices as well, not harsh but gently added.

The taste is wonderful, fresh citrus again just as the smell. a Slightly bitterness as aftertaste. Some smooth hints of the true Grolsch beer are there as well. You can taste that you drink another great beer from Grolsch.

Good fresh Lentebok!

Grolsch Lentebok

A = Poured a golden amber with a thin foam head. Looks very tasty.

S = Floral aroma with a slight lemon rind stench. Sounds nice but just is not. Terrible, terrible smell.

T = Initial citrus taste that gives way to a sugary sweetness that dominates your mouth leaving a dry bitter orange peel finish.

M = Very low carbonation. Easy on the palete.

D = Not a good brew. Avoid.

Bottle from the local grocery store.
Look: The beer pours a golden-orange color, with a nice large head.
Smell: Floral hops, fresh grass, sweet fruits and malts.
Taste: Very floral and lots of fresh grass. Malts and caramel. More hops than the average lente bok
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation, medium body
Overall: Intersting mixture of bitterness and sweetness. Not very balanced though
