Overcast and opaque deep yellow under a compacted scambled-egg foam.
Musty aromatics, with an belittled sense of lemon.
Enters with a large wheat bread doughiness, and stays this way throughout the majority of the beer. Hypo-caramel sweetness is found on the fringes. Some faux-farmhouse yeasty tones pop up on occasion, before a lemon-peel tartness materializes and rides into the finish.
Relative heft for the style, a bit creamy and subtancial while maintaining a refreshing easy-goingness.
I have never been a fan of "American Wheats", and doubt I ever will be. But this is good bet per the style.

The beer arrived on the table a cloudy pale amber with a white head that lasted well, but slowly faded to nothing.

The aroma was light wheat with a low level of fruitiness.

The flavor was a low fruity character with banana. Just a slight hint of clove spice was present and a slight sourness.

The finish was dry with a lasting fruity impression and that same slight sourness into the aftertaste. The body was medium.

Served with a lemon, this was an ok hefe, but missing some character to be a German Hefe and too fruity for an American.

A - Hazy butterscotch color. No head. No lace.

S - Fruity aroma, close to their blond ale. Kolsch like fruitiness.

T - Lots of fruit. Tropical style. Pineapple flavor dominates. Light banana. Not your typical hefe.

M - Full bodied mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.

T - Very good drinkability. Tasty hefe weizen.

Color: Golden, nearly no head.
Smell: Very fruity, tropical aroma
Taste: Crisp and clean, very fruity
MF: Nice carbonation
I favor filtered wheats like this one to unfiltered, sometimes the complexity is lost when a beer isn't filtered. I chose to enjoy this beer without a lemon. I thouroughly enjoyed this beer, I bought a growler so I could enjoy it on the beach.
