This was on tap at the bar in the St. Ermin's hotel in Westminster, London-UK.
Appearance: dark brown with a medium white head.
Smell: dark chocolate, loads of roasted malt, and hints of coffee.
Taste: smooth as silk. The smoke is not overwhelming - tastes similar to "regular" porters (i.e. earthy, malty, and slight bitterness).
Mouthfeel: medium. leaves a little 'slick' on the tongue.
Drinkability: meh... This goes well with a generous portion of fish and chips, although I couldn't imagine drinking multiples. I'd like to take this 'head-to-head' with Meantime's regular Porter to compare/contrast.
Serving type: on-tap
