Cool bottle purchased at AJ's Beer Warehouse in Henrietta, NY.
Pours a very dark brown, with a foamy dark brown head, and good lacing.
Smells like roasty, bitter coffee and roasted malts.
The taste is similar. Burnt, bitter coffee grounds are the dominant flavor, with some roasted malt, and a little bit of chocolate. Pretty straightforward- tasty, but it's been done better many times. Some creamy vanilla, as well.
Medium bodied, but slightly thin/watery for the style. Very drinkable, though. Low carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel.
Not too bad, but a little boring.

Served in a pint glass.
Appearance: A very dark brown with a very thin body, looks almost opaque black once poured in the glass but when placed against the light you see the body pretty well. (Light tan) Head is very thing and honestly poured about 1/10' and settled to almost nothing before a sip.
Smell: Strong aroma of espresso makes you think you are about to drink an iced coffee.
Taste: Smooth coffee taste with a slight mocha feel. A notch sweet but then again chocolately bitter.
Mouth: Medium bodied feels like just sticky enough.
Overall: This beer took me by surprise, it packs a punch of flavor that will easily attract you. I can honestly say a definite must grab. Salud!

330ml bottle into a nonic.
Pours a very dark brown with a half finger thick tan head. Very good head retention with just some stringy lacing.
Aroma has a fairly sharp metallic note, unfortunately, but underneath that, there are some milk chocolate notes along with a touch of light roast coffee. Some dark toffee and caramel as well.
Not metal in the flavor, thankfully, and the chocolate/toffee notes are very nice. Coffee is present but is much more subdued than I was expecting. Caramel is in the background and a very light, delicate, hop character just lending enough bitterness to balance the sweetness. The mouthfeel is probably the best feature of this beer. It is silky smooth with plenty of body.
Overall, a decent English Porter but way overpriced for what it is. I wish the coffee was a little more pronounced.

Pours dark brown, looking a bit thin as it comes out. Small to medium light beige head. Aroma of coffee and a bit of roasted malt, but slightly weak. Flavor is coffee and a bit of fruitiness. A bit of very light spice on the finish almost tastes like chile. Strange aftertaste for a porter. Not bad, but something a little strange.
