Head is nearly white. Body has golden-bronzy colour that is fairly light for an IPA.
Can't detect too much on the nose, it's like Meantime have gone the CAMRA path and produced a lightly hopped English IPA. I'm really struggling to get much off this, there is a kind of fruity floralness there, which is more noticebale on the palate but this beer really falls flat compared to US West Coast IPAs. There is some heavy sweetness, which suggests good malt content. Halfway through drinking I had to regenerate the head but even that dissipated pretty quickly, which wasn't that impressive.
This beer has a good base and I think the malt content is just about spot on but the hops really need work. But, then again, English beers traditionally focus on malt so that's not too surprising. If this beer had NZ hops added to it at the start of the boil and also in dry hopping I think it would be pretty fantastic.

Poured from a 750ml caged & corked bottle into an imperial pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, honey, citrus and a good amount of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel, honey and citrus. Then a hearty malt character comes in. The hops presence is a bit subdued for the style but it’s complementary and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid beer to drink for a long time if you want an IPA with less of an edge than most.

11.2 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a slightly hazy pale orange color with some vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.
Smell: Some citrus fruitiness, pungent, floral, toasted, and caramel malts.
Taste: Herbal, citrus, chewy toasted malts, and sweet caramel to balance things out. Mild tingly bitterness in the rear.
Mouthfeel: A bit smooth, chewy, light to medium bodied, and medium carbonation.
Overall: For an EIPA, this is probably the best one that I have had so far. Hoppy, herbal, malty, and delicious.
