330ml bottle from Beers of Europe (£2.09):
Cloudy golden yellow with a 1cm foamy white head that holds for about a minute before slowly reducing in size to leave a fairly thick lacing covering the surface.

Sweet and fruity with some citrus and a few floral notes along with a banana smell and some bubblegum. Some wheat, orange, coriander and some spice also feature in the mix with the fruity aroma coming out on top.

Fruity with a mix of wheat, some yeast and banana along with some bubblegum and orange peel too. There was some light lemon and a pleasant tang to the taste that goes down well.

Smooth with a light medium body but thankfully not thin or watery. There is a very faint hint of sweetness from the fruits but the citrus comes out stronger and masks this for the most part. Carbonation is light medium and the beer is quite easy to drink.

Fairly simple taste and not overly complex but it still has a very nice tasting that goes down quite well and is refreshing too. It's not one of the better witbiers that I've had lately but it was still a nice offering that reminded me a little of Blue Moon although it also seemed more hefeweizen that witbier in places.

Poured from a 300 ml bottle.

Colour is yellow, very very hazy,. It pours a one-finger head that quickly disappears, leaving only some foam around the surface of the beer.
Aroma is of fruits and bubblegum.
Nice refreshing taste, only as bitter as needed.
Medium carbonated, medium thin bodied.

Look: the beer pours a nice yellow-orange color with a fluffy head.
Smell: Eathy, wheat, very fruity (citrus, orange peel), yeast.
Taste: Taste follows the nose. Malts and wheat, yeast, orange zest and coriander.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall: Nice brew, one of my favorites of the style

Served on-tap into a 30cl Korenwolf generic glass at Cafe Samson in Nijmegen, Holland. The Cafe Samson menu claims it's 5.00%, but I won't bother submitting an ABV update unless I have a bottle that clearly shows a different ABV than the site. Paired with some dorito-esque crisps with a white sauce. Reviewed live.

A: Two finger head is thin, largely lacking in cream, and of average retention (about three minutes). Colour is a cloudy murky dirty yellow.

Sm: Cream, orange peel, lemon, other assorted light fruit esters on the fringe, butterscotch, and full barley. No malt pulls through. A scent of moderate strength. Appealing.

T: Dirty orange peel, fringe fruit esters that don't ring distinctly and can't be identified, and full barley. It's a bit underwhelming, especially for the style. I expected a refreshing beer. Not complex or bold. Balanced well but built poorly.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Complements the flavours of the body.

Dr: Very easy to drink, but the quality isn't there. The relatively high ABV (if it is indeed 6%) is well disguised. At three quid for 30cl, I wouldn't have it again.

Last day in Cadzand
Opens with a lovely hiss, poured into my Hoegaarden glass, a murky orange-yellow hay toned brew fills the glass. Elegant appropriate Witbier head-thick, rocky, dissapating into a nice cap. Beautiful Wit.
Smells of lemon, orange, lemonhead candy, coriander seed, white pepper, citrus zest hay, musty grain, a hint of vanilla, wildflower. I didnt know anything about this beer before purchasing, but may have stumbled on a beauty. Sour honey and a punch of yeastiness round out the balanced finish.
Flavor actually lives up to the expectations of the complex nose. Pepper, honey lemon, orange, clove, grains, wheat, wildflower, sour bread, finishing prickiling with spice and a yeasty prick.
The body is creamy-thick, and the finish is spicy and long-lasting. A great balance of citrus, spice, and wheaty creaminess. All things I critique my Witbeers by. This has met and exceeded all expectations.
The only other Wit I can remember being this suprised about was White Rascal from Avery, and I always use it as a reference.
Great surprise!

Appearance: Pours a beautiful light, straw yellow with a good amount of carbonation.

Smell: Banana and orange peels dominate. There is a slight hint of hops.

Taste: There is an initial citrus bomb followed by a wheat taste progressing into spicy hop punch at the end.

Mouth feel: This beer is silky smooth and refreshing. There is a dry aftertaste which compliments the initial light carbonation nicely. There isn't quite as much carbonation as the appearance hinted, but that's not necessarily a flaw.

Overall: This is a very well balanced. It's feels great going down, especially on a hot summer day. This is probably the best European Witbier I've ever had. The taste isn't as complex as I would like it to be, but that could be due to the style and my own basis. Other than that, this is a near perfect beer.

Expires Aug 2011

A: Barely a head, extremely dense and cloudy yellow/orange cream, has a popsicle appearance. mild rising carbonation though difficult to see through density.
S: The orangy-est witbier I've ever smelled. Definitely tons of orange peel, very nice, beneath it a banana yeast. It almost comes off as a tropical smoothie. Pretty amazing. Very "fresh"
T: Somewhat bitter and sour, but still retains that very orangy character. The bitterness/sourness definitely hurts the flavor. Similar to Blue Moon.
M: Light to medium body, a bit mouth puckering. Low carbonation.
O: Good, very Blue Moonish.
