Growler (pint bottle filled from CO2 priming draft filler at Imperial Bottle Shop and Taproom) fresh off their GABF Gold medal win for this one (2013). Poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, Pallet Jack is orange with a spritzy white head leaving light head.

Smell is resinous and citrusy hops, tangerine and pine. Some cat pee as well.

Taste is pretty solid, nice malty backbone on top of the hop blast. Moderate bitterness, oily. Overall sharpness to the flavors, angular.

Mouthfeel is oily, medium bodied.

Drinkability is pretty good, solid IPA in the local style, but not particularly distinctive. I like a little less malty IPAs as well. (652 characters)

My favorite, go to IPA here in Portland. Piney and well balanced. (65 characters)

Around the Portland area every place that serves draft beer carries this, and there's a reason why. A great goto (sorry stone) ipa. Hits every mark for a great ipa. (164 characters)

Hop forward and very fruity. I like my IPAs with a little more malt balance but I could see how hop heads would love this brew. I'd definitely recommend trying it. (163 characters)

Tried on tap at a local taproom.

Light orange/amber color with a very low (2-3mm) clear white head. Low lacing.

The smell has just a little pine and some lemon citrus. It's not nearly as fragrant as many of the IPAs I've been enjoying lately.

This is a fairly 'big' IPA, more directly bitter than I'd expected from what I'd read about it. The lemon comes through in the flavor -- the hop is good and bright. It's not as balanced as I'd hoped, though there is a pretty good malt presence for the style.

The body is on the light side and despite the balance issues it's easy to drink. Overall, it's pretty good, but there are so many outstanding competitors, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for it. (708 characters)

Picked up at the Brewery in a 32oz growler.

A: clear golden amber with some lacing. Some retention.
S: I loved the smell. Great balance of pine and citrus.
T: a little more mild than I anticipated. Fairly malty, but still a good amount if citrus and hops.
M: a little oily like others have said. Still, a good amount of carbonation.
O: A very good NW IPA. Definitely worth a try if you find it on tap or picking up some if you happen to pass Baker City. (455 characters)

Thanks to Eric for sharing this one! Took GABF Gold in American IPA, and it shows.

Hazed light orange with a frothy head that left behind spotty lacing around the edges. God lasting surface coverage and carb trails visible.

Pungent dank resiny hops, bright and citrusy with a tropical undercurrent. Smells great, and it's easy to get lost in.

Taste is similar, big explosive hop flavors of grapefruit and tangerine, very resiny. Light bodied and not sweet or sticky at all, easygoing 2-row malt base. Moderate bitterness that lingers nicely into the aftertaste. Great west coast style IPA. (592 characters)

Clear amber with an off white three finger head that lasts a long time. Rings of lace on the glass as the level drops.
Smell is pungent aromatic hops with lots of fruit and resins. Sweet toasted bready malts also.
Taste is similar to the nose with the tropical fruit and pine notes leading the way. The malt sweetness almost balances this beer close to a DIPA level.
Mouthfeel is medium with ample carbonation. Long medium dry and mostly bitter finish.
Really easy drinking for such a bold flavored beer. One of the best IPAs around. (534 characters)
