On tap at Barley Brown's 5/23/12.

Medium amber clear body, a bit of chill haze, several steams of small quick rising bubbles under one finger white head, medium dissipation with above average lacing. Citrus dominated nose, grapefruit pith balanced with some pine notes, clean malt aromas. Taste mirrors nose, citrusy up from, a good dose of bitterness re resin on the back end. Mouthfeel is medium, good effervescence. One of the first IPAs from the new brewer, Marks, and I thought this was pretty easy drinking, tasty.

Thanks to Eric for sharing this one!

Hazed light orange with a frothy head that left behind spotty lacing around the edges. God lasting surface coverage and carb trails visible.

Pungent dank resiny hops, bright and citrusy with a tropical undercurrent. Smells great, and it's easy to get lost in.

Taste is similar, big explosive hop flavors of grapefruit and tangerine, very resiny. Light bodied and not sweet or sticky at all, easygoing 2-row malt base. Moderate bitterness that lingers nicely into the aftertaste. Great west coast style IPA.

A: clear copper with sustaining head and good lacing
S: wonderful pine smell, powerful, with some fruit, tropical citrus in nature-pineapple and mango
T: begins with a toffee taste, followed by the flavors from the nose. Interestingly, the flavor strength of these tastes is inverted from the nose, with the fruit being a bit more pervasive.
M: not much mouth-drawing power, kind of weak. The pine does play in at the end slightly, as someone used in another review, oily seems a good description.
O: wonderful beginning to this beer, but relatively dull ending. If they could get some if the aroma hop strength into the taste, this could be a top notch brew.

Barley Brown's new tap house is where my glass was poured with a finger thick head. The golden brown color was accompanied with a pungent smell of pine and a hint of citrus. The smell was intoxicating with just the right balance. I smelled the IPA multiple times until it felt awkward doing so. As the beer met my taste buds, I was met with a multitude of hop flavors. As each second passed, each hop took turns flaunting their own unique characteristics. The brilliant showcase and blend of hops left my mouth lingering with pine and a slight bitterness. Each subsequent breath continued to experience the aroma of the IPA.

IPA's are my beer of choice and Pallet Jack IPA is my frontrunner of all of the countless IPA's that I have tried. Well done.
