The price paid for this beer improved its rating.

Beer has a pleasant malty taste. Was presently surprised.
This beer has a fair mouthfeel. The smell of this brew is ok, not a downer like some cheap beers on the market.
Overall this was a fair beer. For the price you pay ($29) you can't go wrong with this beer.

Pale golden color with one finger head with low retention.
Predominant aroma of grassy hops and a hint of vanilla.
Refreshing taste with a spicy feeling. Mild grainy malt with crisp grassy hops. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with low to medium carbonation.
Classic recipe for a pilsner, being a session beer, I haven’t seen any differentiator’s highlights or flaws (maybe a bit too thin or watery). Decent not extraordinary. Not worthy with the price sold in Brazil.

Got a sixer of this for $11.50 AUD at a BWS in Cairns. From notes.

A - Very light gold, two finger fluffy white head. Bright. Strong carbonation, no lace, minimal film of retention.

S - Honey, sweet grain, sugar, inoffensive.

T - Lot's of sweet grain, honey.

M - Good carbonation, light to medium body, lingering off-honey finish.

O/D - Not something I'd revisit, but definitely not one of the worst lagers I've had. No corny adjunct component in the flavour and the price in Australia is pretty good. Not something you'd brag about drinking, but you certainly don't have to feel guilty about it.

BB 11/12

Pours a pale straw, fizzy white head dies to no lace.

Moderate aromas of bread, dough, grains.

Taste is more as a helles lager. Bread driven, not enough hop kick at end.

Mouthfeel is spritzy and well carbonated.

Overall its get a 4 tho, due to cheap-as price-point. Could drink all night - very sessionable.

And why oh why are all the rewiews Aussie i wonder???

A - Two fingers of fluffy head crown the crystal clear body of pale golden amber. A few slops of lacing.

S - Sweet malt, crackers, dash of lemon juice.

T - Subtle grassy hops, crackers, lemon.

M - Light bodied, decent carbonation.

O - An OK session beer and cheap, but certainly dont make it a priority buy.

Bottle into stemware goblet in me friend's gaff in Berlin, Germany. Acquired at REWE stores, northern Berlin. Reviewed live.

A: Two finger head of slight cream, decent thickness, and average retention. Dark yellow colour. Average appeal.

Sm: Crystal hops. No cream. Almost a biscuity scent. Not really pleasant, but it generates a curiosity to find out what that biscuity note is.

T: Slight cream lurks beneath the barley body, which is complemented somewhat nicely by generic crystal hops. Has that awful American macro lager curtail on the end, an upshot of nastiness to solidify negative opinions if there was any lingering doubt. The biscuity note is a sort of stale hop tone that partially combines with the lurking cream to generate a neutral effect neither bad nor good but I suppose welcome for its addition to the beer's complexity. This beer is poorly built for the style, but it's fairly balanced all things considered.

Mf: Smooth until the climax, on which it coarsens, which is par for the style, but not done well in this case. Wet throughout, but aversive of refreshment.

Dr: This is a budget beer through and through. As a beer intended to get you bollocksed for no money, it's a success. As a beer to be tasted for enjoyment, it's a dire failure. Leave this one where it belongs, lads: on the shelf.

Note: This is one of the cheapest beers available in Australia. While I like to support local beer, I would actually like to see more Aussies drinking this rather than the other garbage available at this price point.

Appearance - 4.5
Poured into a 0.5L mug. A big, tight white foam head forms over a clear body of pale gold. Minimal lacing.

Smell - 3.0
Sweet bready maltiness, like a fresh baked white loaf, minimal herbal hoppy aroma.

Taste - 3.0
Light grainy malt base with a hint of breadiness, slightly metallic and herbal hops. Bitterness is sharp, slightly astringent and lingers, finishing very clean.

Mouthfeel - 4.0
Light bodied with moderate carbonation, goes down quite smoothly.

Overall - 3.5
A decent German pilsener, though not as good as this style can be (see Weihenstephan). Still, I could drink this all night, it reminds me of my time spent in Germany and I find it funny to think that a beer like this, is like VB to an Australian. If only VB tasted like this...

This was an average but enjoyable beer on all counts.
More malty sweet than I would expect from a pils and lacked the saaz tartness.
For reasons unknown this is selling very cheaply by the slab at Liquorland and is a reasonable quaffing option for the budget conscious

330ml bottle. best before 23/10/08. 4.7%abv

pours a clear light yellow with a minimal white head. medium-high carbonation helps with some retention and lacing.

nose is full of grassy hops. after a bit it the fresh grassiness fades slightly to something more floral. still nice though.

flavor is light and leaning towards bitter. very refreshing even on a cold night like tonight. hop profile is handled nicely as it doesnt push too much flavor on you. malt does not intrude letting you focus on the hops.

well im impressed. didnt have high expectations but this one certainly hits the mark.
