A: Pitch dark dark brown. head disappates rather fast leaving just a warbling toupee of foam in the center, revealing a lake of brown beer surrounding it. The rising carbonation is only visible looking down as bits are fighting their way up the center. the last drops of the beer in the glass darken the foam like a light chocolate syrup.
S: a cross between chocolate and caramel, as well as coffee.
T: Coffee, not much chocolate, a bit tart/sour. a bit of ash. The alcohol is quite masked
M: has a particular sort of astringency, making your tongue feel unusually smooth.
O: Okay, quite drinkable but unexciting. x

A: The beer is very dark brown (close to near black) in color. It poured with a short tan head that died down, leaving a patch of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of chocolate are present in the nose along with some hints of coffee beans.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that the flavors of coffee beans are stronger and there are also some hints of roasted malts. A light amount of bitterness is present.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation and faint bits of dryness in the finish from the roasted malts and coffee.
O: This beer is rather easy to drink compared to other beers in the style because it isn't as full-bodied and the alcohol is well masked from the taste.

A dark brown, black beer with a creamy head which leaved a nice lacing on the glass. Very fine bubbles in the head.
Smell of roasted malts and coffee. Hard to tell where the malt end and the coffee begins. Some chocolate or cacao coming through.
Taste is rich and has a moderate roast. The coffee coming through in the smell is much less pronounced in the taste. I must admit, the beer has a roasty and coffee taste, but it appears watered down, not at full strength. At least if compared to the over-the-top American examples of the style. This beer shines through by it's mildness. Even the alcohol is mild with 9% ABV. The drinkability of the beer is good and balance is great too.
