I went here while visiting my brother in law and his family is West Palm. The City Place is a pretty awesome area to hang out. I liked the atmosphere at Brewzzi. They had allot of beer selection on the menu, but when I was there, they only had a couple microbrews available. The beer that I had was good and the food was good. We ate outside on the patio, and I would definitely recommend that.

I had an amber lager that I enjoyed. I had the fish and chips to eat. It was good and the coleslaw was excellent.

I would go back.

A: The bar is similar in size to the yard house in palm gardens. It has an inside bar and also an outside bar. I was there on a Tuesday evening and the outside bar was very busy. The inside bar was not very busy, plenty of seats.

Q: Overall, the quality of the food and beer was average. I was not overly impressed, but wouldn't write it off either.

Service: The bartender, although not very busy, was very attentive and friendly. He asked what style of beer a liked, and provided samples.

Selection: They make their own beer. There was only about seven beers on tap all from Brewzzi. The selection ranged from IPA to amber to blonde. The beer itself had decent flavor. I had the IPA and the blonde. I would recommend the IPA. I was not a huge fan of the blonde.

F: I ordered the salmon which was cooked well. The menu has many choices such as pizza, burgers, and pasta.

V: Overall, the price of beers and food was true to what I received.

I was staying in town for a night while commuting back and forth to NC. I dropped the car off at the airport, got to the hotel, and took the shuttle to City Place. This place came highly recommended so I wandered here.

The City Place area is very nice. Tons of trendy shops with lots of sunburned vacationers and locals alike. Brewzzi was on the second floor of one of the main buildings. Indoor and outdoor seating available, I chose the outdoor seating overlooking the common area. Nice atmosphere. I was happy watching the shoppers do their thing and taking in the scenery.

The beer selection was rather poor for a brewery. They only had 5 drafts on hand, and the only one that even remotely interested me was an APA: the rest were an amber, a light beer, a dark amber, and a wheat beer. Very original.

The service started out pretty nice but as the place got busy, I saw my beer glass become more empty more often. My go-to meal at any restaurant is the greek salad, and this one was spot on. I love when they actually give you toppings for your salad instead of just lettuce and pieces of accoutrement.

Everyone says this place is pricey, but I had a large salad, and three beers and the tab was only $30 (salad was $10 and the beers were $5.20). Perhaps the happy hour specials kept me in check, but hell, I was there for dinner. I cant say this is the best place I have ever been, but the outdoor seating and the decent beer will bring me back.

The wife and I visited on a Monday night just as the Monday night football game was getting underway. It's in a manufactured lifestyle center with lots of upscale chains. Our intention was for me to have a pint or two and then find a good local place to eat.

The beer list was pretty short - even shorted considering their brewmaster reserve was not available. Nothing hoppy on tap. I settled for an alt beer which the waitress inaccurately described as hoppy.

We sat at the outside where an impressive bar and lots of TV's dominate the space. It was on the second floor overlooking the manufactured town square of the mall.

We decided to eat at Grease Burger Bar a couple of blocks away. It's a great local place - awesome burgers and a solid beer list.

It was visible from the fountain in the center of the City Place complex. As I ascended on the escalator, the copper-jacketed (spit-shined) brewhouse and FVs were visible in the window with an outside bar area including high tables and chairs. Entering, the m.d.s. was right with a cabinet of logo items just behind. Seating was mainly booths. The layout was circular, so that the racetrack-oval shaped, pebbled copper-topped bar was to the left of the doorway. At that point, the brewhouse and FVs were visible behind a big glass wall to the extreme left. Lavs aft on the left side. Kitchen was all of the way aft and ran almost the length of the back wall. Copper-topped exhaust vent! Lots of monitors throughout. A pleasant late-morning/early afternoon hanging out with the brewer Fran and Mike Bitusa, the manager.

Beers: Boca Blonde; Cityfest; Black Duke Dark (Dunkel); Tropical Madness Fruit-Flavored Beer (Peach).
Seasonals: American Amber; Belgian Dark; Belgian Wit; Belgian Dark aged in a port cask; 8 month old Barleywine.

Went here with my girlfriend while I was visiting my aunt who lives in the area... was down here on vacation and had previously never heard of this place before, which I discovered was a good quality, popular chain down here... Excellent, modern, up-to-date, lively atmosphere with a packed house and sophisticated looking people... service was excellent with a really attentive waitress... selection was good, had quite a few beers in stock... Food was exceptional... had a pasta dish which was awesome and my girl got a pizza which I helped myself to a large portion... really good place, definitely recommended and I will certainly return here when I'm back in Florida...

This place shows some love for a beer lover in a town that has very little love for craft beer. I actually went here 3 times in 3 days for the sake of convenience and the very lovely outdoor setting. The first time I was pleased to meet Mike, the friendly Queens-transplant bartender.

The Beers:
Duke Dark: A dunkel. Probably the best offering. Tasty caramel and toasted malts. Light bodied. Easy drinking.
Alt: Run-of-the-mill, but totally not offensive.
Cityfest: Hoppiest offering with nice balance.
Tropical madness: I had both the Apricot offering and the blackberry offering. Very watery and really pretty bad. My wife liked the sample, but I could tell it was difficult to get to the bottom of the glass.

This place is worth checking out by default. Since craft beer is a novelty in WPB. I ate the Chicken fajita pizza wrap, which sounds terrible, I know. Actually it was misrepresented because when it came out it looked fantastic. It is more of a Chicken Calzone...First few bites were quite good, but "eatability" was very low. Not recommended. My wife's salad tasted like an aromatic potpourri saucer. Yuck.

Still, I enjoyed the outdoor setting a lot. I never went in, because it was dark and uninviting. If you need a craft brew fix and you're near City Place, you gotta go.

Stopped by here on a drive from South Florida back to home. We arrived on a Sunday at about 11:45am looking to get some lunch and a brew. Cityplace is a neat area -- very high end and a clean, tidy space. At least it was this morning. Upstairs is Brewzzi's; part inside, part open air. The outside area bar looks like a great place to toss back a few on a nice day. We sat in the patio/terrace area that overlooks the square. Inside is a dark-wood paneled restaurant, and a brewhouse area full of shiny equipment. It's got the sort of atmosphere you'd expect in West Palm. Upscale, modern, pretty to look at, but lacking a bit of charm.

Service was quite friendly, and the food was tasty. The only downside was that between 3 pint glasses on the table, 2 had chips and cracks. The manager came out, apologized, and brought us new beers.

We had the black lager, which was a nice schwarzbier style. Nothing over the top, but clean and tasty.

Overall, a cool place that I'd go back to with the intentions of having a nice meal, not necessarily to hang out at, though.

Lunch for 3 (sandwiches) costed $66, with only one beer each; it ain't a cheap place to scarf down a meal.

Good food overall. their service is not dependable, sometimes good ometimes not. they only have their homebrewed beers on tap. Their brews varry, from ok to bad, not too impressed really, nothing new. their selection of bottle beer is about the same as everywhere else, the staples. They have a house cocktail list, overall most of the same drinks others have, different names. BEWARE do not deviate from the cocktail list OR ask for something like a captain and coke or vodka/redbull, expect to pat $15-$20, each. The food is good, and reasonably priced. it is just shocking to have lunch for two and the food cost comes to $30, and the total bill reads, $96. this is lunch for two and each of us had about 3 beers and 2 coctails, captain and coke, and vodka/redbull to be specific. when you see that captain and coke cost $15, and the vodka/redbull $18 each.

Extremely upscale area where all the shops have lip balm that costs $45. I literally saw cars, the manufacturer of which, I could not pinpoint...Astin Martin? Rolls Royce? I don’t know because I don’t see many of them. I do know the crappiest car I saw was mine a 2004 4-Runner and I had the privelege of paying $10 just to have it parked 2 feet away.

The establishment is as ritzy as its sourroundings. Very upscale and monied looking with rock accented columns, but with brewery touches like the hammered copper bartop. The burger for all it’s $12 price was pretty pedestrian. The beer was decent to pretty good with the DUnkel probablyt he best and the stout okish. Worth a stop if you are in West Palm, but not a destination in and of itself.

Went here when I visited my parents. This is in the middle of an open air mall, and it is a BIG place. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. My server wasn't too knowledgable about the beers. In her defense, she said she was new, and I don't think she was prepared to meet up with an ale head. I had some wings which were ok, followed by the baby back ribs. My friend got the pork chops, and the better meal. Each meal does come with a beer pairing suggestion. Mine was the City Fest, my friend got the Black Duke Dark. Again, he got the better beer.We sampled some others, flights are available. I would go back again the next time I'm in town.

This bistro is located in the trendy City place spot in downtown west palm beach. The atmosphere is pretty nice its on the second floor and the setup is top notch. The service is pretty good at this location, if you go to the other Location in Boca Raton, their service is just plain horrible. The selection of food is good and the beers are decent not the greatest you will find but will sastisfy the need. When I go to City Place I usually go to brezzi's, its a nice trendy spot that gets pretty busy during the Florida season.

I lived in Palm Beach for a few years and never took advantage of this awesome outdoor/indoor dining and bar venue until my husband and I met my parents there for dinner just a bit ago. I love living in Florida and I enjoy the outside atmosphere that our unique state provides, so we took a seat at the outdoor bar that overlooks the "City Place" courtyard and shops from the second floor. I sampled a few of the on premises brews that were all rather low on alcohol content, but fun none the less. I tried the "City Fest" which brewzzi describes as "A smooth, mellow tasting festbier with orange-copper hues, and a sweet nutty aroma derived from an exceptional balance of Munich and Crystal malts. This consummate blend of malt and hops yields a subtle, flavorful personality in every sip. 4.0% alcohol." I also tried an apricot brew, but I cannot remember the name.

After a few beers and a Dirty Martini to finish off the outdoor fun that provided lots of people watching since the bar are is situated between two walkways, we headed inside for our meal. The calimari was light and crispy and my Caribbean Sushi Salad that the Brewzzi's menue describes as, "Pan seared sushi tuna crusted with jerk seasoning served over mixed greens, mango, and roma tomatoes in citrus dressing served with pickled ginger" was everything a "sushitarrian" (a vegetarian that eats sushi, but no other meat) could possibly hope for!

I would recommend this venue more for the people watching, outside bar environment, and restaurant than the brews themselves.

Man, what a disappointment this place has turned into - just a trendy place with high prices. Mostly crap lite served here in plastic cups - no surprise as they only had 4 tap offerings when I visted last week.

Very much doubt if I ever return.

Original review:
What to add that wasn't already covered??? Well, I thought the place was very nice and classy - you can walk around the area and window shop before/after hitting Brewzzi. Inside is woody/brassy, outside is tropical and good for people watching. Bar has a copper pinged top, nice ! Inside service was good and the bartenders were friendly, outside was for tourists and the service poor - you had to take care of yourself and the bartenders don't really give a damn about you.

Beer impressions: their beer guide declared: *It takes twice as long to create a lager as it does an ale. Our patience is rewarded by providing our guest with a smoother, more refined taste experience. * Well, I thought their lagers; Boca Blonde Lager, Black Duke dunkel, and City Fest were somewhat weak and watered down - abv was 3.5 - 4 and you can tell. Their seasonal ales; Reed Reef amber and Irish stout were much more flavor-full. Pints were $4.25, pretty reasonable considering the location.

Will go back and have few more beers along with a dinner - inside!

Stopped here for lunch and a couple pints before heading to the airport yesterday- 1/2/05. Located in this fairly new and quite upscale indoor/outdoor mall/entertainment complex called Cityplace in West Palm. You park in the garage and when you get off the elevators, you are greeted by the copper brewing equipment.

There are 2 bars--one indoor bar/restaurant that is standard cookie-cutter brewpub design. The other bar is out in the unenclosed mall area where there was some loud live music playing. We opted for the quieter inside.

Got a sampler of their beers and they were all about average brewpub offering-maybe a little better. Their seasonal was IMO the best offering and it was a raspberry beer that had a slight not overpowering fruit flavor -quite nice on a warm sunny day.

Food was decent--we got burgers. They were good. Service was quite good. A very personable and attentive bartender. I would recommend this place but I wouldn't go too far out of my way to get here.

nice looking place with pleasant dark atmoshphere. brewing equipment in plain view. a very good sized restaurant. there were not very many of their beers available on tap, i think about 5. the beer sthat i did try were were pretty light tasting, with good but weak flavors. i guess it's a product of the tropical envoronment, but i was looking for a little bit more. the food was served in huge portions, so much that i couldn't finish, and thats not something i'm used to. the food was also very good i had not complaints in this department. overall a very worth while place in florida, but the beer could have been a bit bigger.

This is one of the best brewpubs that I have ever visited from the standpoint of combining flavorful beers with good food. Also, the service was outstanding. The server had a good knowledge of the attributes of each beer, and when we asked some "technical" questions, he asked us if we would like to meet the brewmaster. Fran, the brewmaster, came out to our table and offered us a personal tour of the brewing facility. We readily agreed. He didn't try to keep any "trade secrets" from us, and offered us some tips on hop use in our homebrews. After the tour, he came back to our table with two bottles of beer that he had left over from a competition - one was a maibock and the other a brown ale. The maibock was outstanding - the best example of this style I have ever tasted, and the brown ale was good but not outstanding. The downside in my eyes is that they are only able to have six beers on tap at a time, and 5 of the regular beers mostly cater to the uninitiated. The sixth beer changes regularly and he tries to make it something that beer drinkers can appreciate. I got lucky and was there at the time they switched the selection. The Red Reef Amber is an excellent beer, highly hopped but balanced with malty flavoers. I also got the IPA, which according to Fran has a blend of Centennial, Chinook, Cascade, and Goldings hops. It was as hoppy as the amber, but less balanced with malt. The food is outstanding. We sampled the pizza, calzones, chicken parmesan sandwich, pasta alfredo, tempura battered chicked breast tenders, clam chowder, and potato soup. All received high praise from the respective diners. I highly recommend a visit to this brewpub.

This is the second location of the Brewzzi chain in South Florida. The first is just a bit farther south in Boca Raton. This is good news for thirsty Floridians. This location is at the city place development in West Palm Beach. Very upscale shopping areas and surrounding neo-classic Floridian architeture. Did I just say that ? Anyway the decor is top shelf stuff, dark wood, and shiny copper everywhere. The brewing equipment is well displayed behind glass behind the horse shoe shaped bar. Plasma TV's behind the bar as well.
The service and attention at the bar were both very good. The bartender knew a little about each style of beer. I had the Spring Bock, and the Dunkel while snacking on a fish appetizer, which was great. My friend Javier had some nachos and about 4 pints in 20 minutes. He's a potential convert to better beer. The beers were good, but won't impress a beeradvocate type, but that's ok too. They are worth a try. The Spring Bock was pretty good. No Stouts or Porters, but it is summer in Florida. You pay for the location, but the eye candy is nice as well. Full of young professional Palm Beach types that would love to get their hands on a beergeek ! Where's JohnnyP and the Bierman when you need them to handle the extra's ?
