(A) Opaque black. Sits with a dense look. Straight and firm cappuccino colored head that lasts for the entire drink.
(S) Cocoa, roasted malts, oats, some coffee.
(T) The cocoa, coffee and oats hit you right up front. The black and chocolate malts provide a good base. The hops are very subtle, just enough to make it a little bitter. Roasted malt, black malt, and chocolate malt dominate the middle to end of the taste while it combines with coffee and biscuit to finish it off and lingers in the aftertaste.
(M) Extremely smooth and medium to full body.
(O) I'm a fan of oatmeal stouts and I've seen them done wrong before. This one is very well balanced and extreme smooth. It's got great body, kind of thin and not much depth to set it apart from a lot of other great stouts out there, but it's good.
