18 oz tap pour into an American tumbler pint at The Ram in Schaumburg, IL. 6.0% ABV.

A - Arrives at the table a hazed brown-amber pond water color with a low off-white head. Decent retention and very little lace.

S - Slight chocolate aroma to the toasted amber malts. Cold nose. Earthy hops balance with a little spiciness. Malt forward though.

T - Lightly spicy amber malts. Crisp lager bite with an earthy hop finish.

M - Medium-bodied and crisp with a fairly high carbonation level. Very cold.

D - Not bad but nothing about it stands out. I'd rather enjoy their Buttface which is similar but much better. It just lacks pizzaz.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the Schaumburg location.

Winding down from the holiday party with a late pint at the Ram down the street from my temporarily-adopted home. It pours a hazy sienna topped by a half-finger of off-cream foam. The nose comprises toasted biscuit, orange peel, brown sugar, light clove, and cinnamon. The taste brings in more of the same, but with more of an orange presence, and more of a zesty one at that. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a nice little spiced lager, one that's tasty enough as it is, but not one I would necessarily look forward to every Winter.
