Light gold color. Medium white head. Aroma is fruity, grainy and sweet. A light bodied golden ale. Malts are mild, fruity and sweet. Hops are very mild and may be slightly bitter. This beer is weak and watery even for a golden ale. It’s light and refreshing, and better than Coors. There is really nothing objectionable with this beer, except it almost total lack of flavor. It’s just so mild there is almost no there, there. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is very slightly bitter.

Presentation: 12oz brown twist, with a bottling # yet no freshness date.

Appearance: Pale-ish golden in colour with a thin, tight, powdery white lace.

Smell: Mild coarseness and a citric aroma from the hops, touch of malt on the top.

Taste: Light to near-medium in body, crisp and hoppy. Grainy. Seltzer-like mineral flavour melds with a lively carbonation. Great balance of sweet pale malt and the semi-coarse hop bitterness that lingers with a strong, almost sharp, citric note with background salty flavour. Some fruit in the middle, going dry with a fading hop bitterness flavour in the finish.

Notes: Brewed in the PNW style, this comes out to be quite hoppy due to the lighter body. This is a brew where you could knock back a couple and still want more ... a well crafted brew.

This was part of a Summer Sampler 12 pack ( two 12 packs for $9.99; not bad). This wasn't a very good beer. It was a gold color with a small head. Aroma was sweet, grainy. Minimal taste, a little sweetness, a little hops, nothing else. Thin in the mouth. Drink it if you must.

Dry, crisp, hoppy and refreshing. Could appear strange and overly bitter due to its light body, and lack of balance in the malt department ... but this is none-the-less a good beer.

bottle had a "bottling number" on the label, thanks for the info...this one pours very light golden and very clear, Minimal nose of cut grass. minimal scattered lacing. Light, watery brew, barely a hint of malt and less hops, lawn mower brew is what we are talking here. Ice cold on a hot day and this will quench your thirst, thats about all your gonna get out of this stuff. beter then bud, give some to a newbie

Clear healthy golden color with beads rising to the top, thin head that dissipates. Fullers-like aroma. Thin mouthfeel, extra bubbly. Malts are quite good but not too substantial, a little bit metallic, more so as it warms. The hops really carry this beer. Almost completely floral, very emphatic but stops short of being too much. Just the right amount in my opinion. A tasty hoppy ale without the taxing qualities of a really bitter IPA. A good choice before dinner on a warm summer's day, the beer gets your stomach rolling and the hops get your taste buds in tune.

Clear as a bell, medium gold appearance with a good 3/4 inch head on a hard pour. Laces in multiple dots. Aroma is agreeable, maple and walnut pancake maltiness. Flavor is slightly bready with nutty qualities. Impression is decent until an off note that reminds me most of pencil shavings closes the deal, imagine ash and graphite. I was expecting this to be a tasteless Golden, but there's stuff going on here, just not stuff that strikes me very well. I really liked the aroma on this one, though. Thanks to Liza P. and her dad for getting it, and Ken K. for bringing it back.

A nice golden color witha full lacey two finger head.Lots of carbonation.A fragrant beer, but not the most aromatic. The taste is a little weak and watery, but not horrible. This is a disappointing lager and the same as the large american brewery's.I'm not a big fan of this brewer, but I expected a little more.

A very bitter blonde, especially when compared to, say, a Red Hook Blonde. But I like bitter beers and thought the malt profile was enough to stand up against it. It's a nice crisp ale that goes down well served cold on a hot summer day.

This was the first beer I tried as part of a six pack sampler. Knowing that I don't prefer "golden ales" (I always think of them as somewhere in-between mass-produced swill and real beer), I thought I would give it a try as a light beer is nice now and then. This beer did nothing to alter my expectations. Yellow and thin feeling, there was really not much too this beer. A slight hoppy taste was just enought to keep me interested for a little while. Probably a good first beer to give to someone who doesn't drink good beer, but is willing to try.

The beer pours a limpid golden color, the head moderate in size, spumous in texture, bright white in color and the lace a thin sheet to seal off the glass. Nose is malt, somewhat sweet as is the start, top is skeletal in feel to the palate. Finish stingingly acidic, the hops adequate, very dry and slightly bitter aftertaste, did not impress me at all, quite a disappointment actually.

Pellucid flaxen hue. One fingered, steadfast porcelain white head leaves lace. Soft, white bread like basemalt tones accompanied by gentle clementine citrus in aroma. Sweet floral hints arise as it warms. Tame and clean aromawise. Grainy dextrin malt sweetness upfront in flavor is ensued by tepid hints of lemon rind and simple maltose. Hop bitterness darts in after a deliberation, completely drying out the flavor profile, but leaving a void in malt character. Lightly bodied and overly attenuated with a lanky mouthfeel approprate for summer quaffing, but not much else. Finishes nearly arid, with suggestions of bone dry cracker and dried citrus pith. Utterly innocuous and almost as simple as a blonde can get, but certainly quite drinkable as a result. There is little malt complexity, but there doesn't need to be. Clean, refreshing, and forgettable.

12ozer bottle bought as part of the seasonal 12-pack sampler, from Jeans Wine and Spirits, Coventry, CT. Bottling #429.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 3/4" bright white head above the light golden (yellow?) brew. Head and lacing are both good for the style. Aroma is somewhat sweetly of pale malts, and not much else. Taste as well has that sweet pale malt character up front, fades into some bitterness, and that's about it. Mouthfeel and drinkabilty are okay, but nothing particularly noteworthy. Average brew for an often somewhat boring (in my eyes) style.

pale pilsner straw color with a thin white head. smells hoppy, not really detecting much else, besides a faint graininess. better taste then i was expecting, quite hoppy due to the sort of lack of balance. tastes ok though. the body is pretty thin but it suits the flavor. also well carbonated. this is actually pretty refreshing. better suited to a warmer day than today though.

LIght bright clear yellow gold color with a nice off-white head and good carbonation which leaves some lace (mostly rings). Sweet, almost sugary, malt aroma and taste... smells and tastes like one of those white-ish pink salt water taffys. Could not detect any hoppiness. Medium bodied and round creaminess.

12oz bottle acquired in trade jjppm74 (thanks!).

Poured a lighter and see through yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Lighter aromas of spices and grass. Flavors of the same. Thin and watery. Kinda of reminded me of a watered down version of their lager I had earlier in the night.

I grabbed a sixer of this beer for a party and had a few left so I will review. The beer is chilled and I am sampling with a pint glass.
The beer pours a bright gold color with a bleached white head foaming up less than 1 cm. This head fades quickly to a surface layer and then to nothing. Aroma is very light with some sweet malt hints and a mixed floral and citrus hop aroma.
First sip reveals a thin body with minimal carbonation. Flavor is overallmild but carries some sour hop presence and a light hit of sweet malt too. There is a hint of a grainy bread flavor too. The finish is rather empty and leaves basically nothing in my mouth. An easy drinking brew for sure, but an enjoyable one? You decide.

Pours a three-fingered white head that goes slowly and leaves a good lace. Clear light, amber color. Light carbonation. Nose has hints of hops. Starts with a hop/malt mix nothing dominates, finishes clean but slightly on the sweet side. Light bodied.

Golden to amber in color, the beer produces a modest head that decreases to a thin layer of bubbles within 2 minutes. Very clear.

I am reminded of the smell I get from pouring an upstate NY lager like Matt's or Genesee. A touch of hop, a slight, slight note of all spice or clove

Very nice pale malt flavor that lasts well into the aftertaste. Midway, I sense a subtle hop, but this is a predominately malty ale, although it is more crisp than most. While thinner than most beers I consume, it is reasonably full-bodied. I wouldn't necessarily clamor for more; but I would easily take another at a tailgate on a warm September afternoon.

appearance: pours yellow orange with minimal white head

smell: very wheaty, but also quite sweet. It lets loos a slight hint of fruit and is vaguely cidery.

taste: almost sour, and again, quite wheaty. reminds me kinda of Busch. Little taste, but an overbearing aftertaste of grainy wheat.

mouthfeel: light bodied and overly bitter aftertaste, unbalanced.

drinkability: smooth enough to chug... but that's all, not something to savor

Decent bright white head sits atop a transparent pale gold colored beer. Pungent hop aroma (ya know Heinikin) and stale malt (no not pale). Mildly sweet pale malt up front with a bit of floral hops, bitternes kicks in midway, but becomes less noticeable the more you drink. Light body, mouthfeel is kind of watery. I wasn't expecting a lot, and I was still disapointed.

The beer pours a golden color with a fluffy white head that quickly fades for some fine lacing. The aroma is decent, but nothing special. There are smells of pale malts and light hopping. The taste is very plain. It has a breadlike taste; little or no hop flavor. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low bodied beer that drinks decent. I've never been a big fan of their beers. They are very bland and unoriginal. This beer is no different. It tastes like any other run of mill golden ale.

I got this one for free, I think I understand why.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color, thin head, no lacing.

Smell: A very strange combination of a fruity smell with a bit of milk(?), and grain.

Taste: Mild hoppy bitterness, not much else. Aftertaste is bitter and lingering.

Mouthfeel: Light, crisp, good amount of carbonation.

Drinkability: Low, if I didn't pour this myself, I would mistake this for one of the dreaded macros. Not a favorite.
