12oz bottle acquired in trade jjppm74 (thanks!).
Poured a lighter and see through yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Lighter aromas of spices and grass. Flavors of the same. Thin and watery. Kinda of reminded me of a watered down version of their lager I had earlier in the night.

11/5/2004. On tap. I just had Buzzard's Bay Lager again the other day and this seems to taste just like it. Bright, clear golden color. Sweet, grainy taste but not all that flavorful. Not a bad beer and it goes down fine but there's just not much to it.

Poured a very light hay color. White head was only slight, and dissipated very rapidly. Plenty of large, slow moving carbonation bubbles. Light lacing.
The aroma was quite fruity, and had an overwhelming note of banana. Also had a slight spice aroma similar to allspice. No overly powerful aroma of malt or hops.
Very weak flavor reminded me of drinking a very lighlty flavored glass of water. Aftertaste is reminiscient of drinking a macrobrew. A second mouthful does have a slightly more malted taste then the first.
Very watery feel in my mouth. I appreciated the carbonation, but didn't make up for the overall lack of body.
I can't recommend this beer to anyone. While it looks and smells quite pleasent, the taste leaves much to be desired. A definite miss from a brewery I generally like.

This was part of a Summer Sampler 12 pack ( two 12 packs for $9.99; not bad). This wasn't a very good beer. It was a gold color with a small head. Aroma was sweet, grainy. Minimal taste, a little sweetness, a little hops, nothing else. Thin in the mouth. Drink it if you must.

appearance: pours yellow orange with minimal white head
smell: very wheaty, but also quite sweet. It lets loos a slight hint of fruit and is vaguely cidery.
taste: almost sour, and again, quite wheaty. reminds me kinda of Busch. Little taste, but an overbearing aftertaste of grainy wheat.
mouthfeel: light bodied and overly bitter aftertaste, unbalanced.
drinkability: smooth enough to chug... but that's all, not something to savor

A nice golden color witha full lacey two finger head.Lots of carbonation.A fragrant beer, but not the most aromatic. The taste is a little weak and watery, but not horrible. This is a disappointing lager and the same as the large american brewery's.I'm not a big fan of this brewer, but I expected a little more.

bottle had a "bottling number" on the label, thanks for the info...this one pours very light golden and very clear, Minimal nose of cut grass. minimal scattered lacing. Light, watery brew, barely a hint of malt and less hops, lawn mower brew is what we are talking here. Ice cold on a hot day and this will quench your thirst, thats about all your gonna get out of this stuff. beter then bud, give some to a newbie

LIght bright clear yellow gold color with a nice off-white head and good carbonation which leaves some lace (mostly rings). Sweet, almost sugary, malt aroma and taste... smells and tastes like one of those white-ish pink salt water taffys. Could not detect any hoppiness. Medium bodied and round creaminess.

This was the first beer I tried as part of a six pack sampler. Knowing that I don't prefer "golden ales" (I always think of them as somewhere in-between mass-produced swill and real beer), I thought I would give it a try as a light beer is nice now and then. This beer did nothing to alter my expectations. Yellow and thin feeling, there was really not much too this beer. A slight hoppy taste was just enought to keep me interested for a little while. Probably a good first beer to give to someone who doesn't drink good beer, but is willing to try.

Decent bright white head sits atop a transparent pale gold colored beer. Pungent hop aroma (ya know Heinikin) and stale malt (no not pale). Mildly sweet pale malt up front with a bit of floral hops, bitternes kicks in midway, but becomes less noticeable the more you drink. Light body, mouthfeel is kind of watery. I wasn't expecting a lot, and I was still disapointed.

I picked up a single of this beer to try. I am so glad that I only bought a single...
I had this out of a 12 oz brown bottle and served in an imperial pint glass. Bottling # 4 199.
Pours a straw yellow color with a bone white head that vanishes way too fast. No traces of lacings at all. Some bubbly carbonation.
Smells grainy and grassy with a faint whiff of hops in the background.
This beer tastes more like an attempt at a Pilsner than an American Blonde Ale. Grainy and sweet taste with a very dry finish. Feels clean and crisp on the palate. Sweet malts with a dry snap at the end. Overall, it's a watered and dumbed down beer.
An okay beer, but not worth recommending or seeking out.

12ozer bottle bought as part of the seasonal 12-pack sampler, from Jeans Wine and Spirits, Coventry, CT. Bottling #429.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 3/4" bright white head above the light golden (yellow?) brew. Head and lacing are both good for the style. Aroma is somewhat sweetly of pale malts, and not much else. Taste as well has that sweet pale malt character up front, fades into some bitterness, and that's about it. Mouthfeel and drinkabilty are okay, but nothing particularly noteworthy. Average brew for an often somewhat boring (in my eyes) style.

pale pilsner straw color with a thin white head. smells hoppy, not really detecting much else, besides a faint graininess. better taste then i was expecting, quite hoppy due to the sort of lack of balance. tastes ok though. the body is pretty thin but it suits the flavor. also well carbonated. this is actually pretty refreshing. better suited to a warmer day than today though.

Pours a straw pils color with a short-lived white head. Bready malt and some subdued yeast funk in the nose. Rather lowly carbonated. Drinks like a pils, yet maintains a good malty, yeasty ale character on a smaller scale than most. Pretty clean tasting and drinkable. I'd have it again, but I probably wouldn't be all that excited.

12 oz brown bottle.
1/2" frothy white head that leads to some thin lacing that doesn't hold well. Pale yellow straw in color; looks very thin and watery.
Light malt sweetness. Faint pear and apple aromas. Very subtle aromatics.
An initial sweetness that gives way to a wheat like flavor. No fruit-like qualities at all. Virtually no bitterness which is surprising given the initial sweet and grain flavors. Nothing to write home about in terms of taste.
Very well rounded on the palate. Tastes thicker than it appears. Medium bodied.
Very clean, light, and low in terms of abv%. Easily consumable but not one I would want to drink as a session beer.

Very light yellow in color with no real head to speak of. The smell is very sweet with some citrus notes, also a bit metallic. The taste is well, not much of anything. It just plain lacks overall. Sweet, light and refreshing. Just a hint of some hops at the end but nothing else really stands out. This is the kind of beer I don't think that I will choose again any time soon. Unless the pickings are very slim or it is a really hot day and I just want a cold beer. Plain and simple. There just isn't much there.
