This is perhaps the simplest label I've ever seen on a commercially brewed beer. That jibes with the idea of "Just Beer"
A very nice puffy head fills up a quarter of the glass, but it doesn't leave much lacing as I make my way through the bottle. Color is a nice amber, but the aroma is almost absent. It doesn't smell bad; it just doesn't smell like much of anything. Some faint citus hop notes with a little bit of grass.
Mouthfeel is very flat. Finish is clean. Taste, like the aroma, is fairly muted. This beer is interesting. It does a great job of being just a pale ale, nothing more, and I could drink a lot of these consecutively. But perception suffers when contrasted with more in-your-face hoppy ales.

Doesn't taste like a pale ale.

Pint on draft at Freestones in New Bedford.
Appearance: Kind of a dark, rusty gold with a big foamy white head.
Aroma: Surprisingly floral. Herbal. Good malt backbone with some sweetness.
Taste: Follows nose. Good floral/malty mix.
Mouthfeel: Easy but fulfilling.
Overall: Nice interpretation of the style. Flavorful enough to be interesting.

Look is orange with gold highlights and a nice thick head.
Aroma is malty, slightly smoky? Like a slightly too dark toast.
Taste is wonderfully malty and thick like a good Octoberfest.
It doesn't have a great rating, but I could see myself drinking a lot of this beer.
