look: 4.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Poured from a 22 oz bomber into a snifter. Purchased at the brewery

A- pours a hazy amber body with a big frothy off white head that reduces slowly to leave thick lacing. Very nice looking

S- very nutty, with some toffee and bready ness.

T- huge nutty notes, followed by some diacetyl butter scotch flavors. The follow through has toffee and biscuity notes. Finish slightly bitter

M- medium mouthfeel and carbonation

Decent overall .. Worth the small price tag

Poured from a 650 ml bottle into a stange.

A: Dark golden hue, lots of effervescence, pours about a half finger bubbly white head. Dissipates pretty quickly. Fair spotty lacing.

S: Pecans, walnuts, maple syrup, and bubble gum.

T: Bitter roasted pecan shells.

M: Light body with an earthy quality and a shallow finish and a synthetically sweetness.

D: Sessionable.

Atmosphere okay. Slight head, plenty of effervescence, and some fair lacing. Nose is nutty, maple-y, and a synthetic sweetness. Bitter nut shells. Overall, this is an okay quaff.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and some peach + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall foamy light beige head that reduces to a small patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of earthy yeast, floral hops, and toffee sweet malts.

T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of slightly sweet toffee malts with a moderate amount of earthy yeast. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of floral hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with some hints of dryness in the finish.

O: Definitely one of the hoppiest altbiers that I have ever experienced and different than the ones I had in Düsseldorf. I found it to be an Americanized version of the style and enjoyable. Pretty easy to drink.
