Thanks to Paterlodie for this! Thankfully he reviewed it since I can’t read the label to tell what the hell I’m drinking.
Pours fairly dark brown in color with a medium-tan head, a bit thin and fizzy. Uninspired looking, but quite a nice malty aroma -- hints of molasses and bit nutty. Enters the mouth with a sweet, caramel malty flavor. Little alcohol flavor, with a bit of burnt flavor on the back end, and pleasantly spicy throughout. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and fizzy, but overall this a very drinkable beer. Quite nice! (529 characters)

This beer is not retired! I bought it in the brewery two months ago. Bottle best before feb 2013.

Drank this bottle with my cousin Peter. Poured in my Struise glass this beer looks OK. There is some sediment in the bottle.

Darkbrown fluid with a lightbrown, two finger, head.

The first smell had something chemical in it which disappears when the beer warms up.

The taste is normal with some sweetness and maltyness in it. Reasonable drinkable with some boozy undertones in the taste. (490 characters)

I sampled the beer at the brwery and this was one of their better beers.
Appearance was murky brown with a glass sticking head and very little visible carbonation.

Smell of caramel malt and spicy with some nice hoparoma. A little yeasty too.

Taste was caramel, full-bodied and spicy. A nice bitter to complement it. Again the typical yeast taste, but in a much better setting than in the tripel. Still drinkability was somewhat inhibited by the full body. (465 characters)

BB jul 06. Not that much of a yellowish foam and blackbrown in light giving a bordeauxred and bright shine. Nose has overdose on probably gagel witch gives me a feeling( or is it also?) that there is lots of rotten yeast in my nose. After a while less disturbing and you get the caramellic pallet together with sweetmalt and litle alcohol.Taste is better being litle sweet, caramellic, chocolate, herbed( gagel& hops probably as maybe others) altogether quiet pleasant and certainly something worthwile drinking. Litle bitter aftertaste and some darkmaltleftovers aswell as the herbs.
Mouthfeel is litle poor IMO and too far into the spicyness of the gagel. Drinkable but none of the great spiced beers. (704 characters)
