How many pseudo Irish pub chains clamming to have a good beer selection can there be in Houston? The answer is a lot. This is not the worst one, but pretty close. A dingy and dirty area inside with a large patio outside. I have sat outside, and have been soaked from the sprinklers. When I made a point of it, the waitress said it was a timed thing, and the sprinklers are not to be turned off. Kind off odd. There is a long wood bar inside in front of the tap wall and cooler. Lots of pool tables, TVs, and loud music playing. Always crowded.
The food is not very good. Lousy pub grub. Greasy ass burgers, pizzas, crappy ribs, and appetizers. Some crappy fish n chips, bangers and mash take care of the obligatory "Irish" food. Neither are very good. The service is what you would expect for a place like this. A clueless wait staff that is working for tips. They don't usually know the selection or the menu. At peak hours, forget about it.
The selection is not that good either. I have seen Stone IPA on occasion. That is always the highlight. Other than that, lots of AB-Inbev beers. Spaten and Franziskaner are big sellers. So are the Leinenkugel's fruit beer abominations. I don't understand how the location in College Station gets three Saint Arnold beers and this place has none? I think I saw Chimay in bottles, but not much else on this front. Taps are dirty, and kegs are old. The quality is pretty bad as well.
Overall, on par with Sherlock's Pub. I might like this place a little better then that. Though that is saying very little. Go somewhere else.

Hit this place on a Friday night with some folks from work, had come from another so gotthere about 8:30, crowd was pretty sparse
Atmosphere: Good place to shoot pool, tables were in good shape. Had music videos going on the big screen and a couple of baseball games (no sound obviously) on the smaller screens.
Service: Actually not bad, our waitress was friendly, timely and not overbearing, cruised by on a regular basis to see if we needed anything.
Selection: Nothing to write home about, traditional "English pub" selection, along with some German beers; did have some Lagunitas which was good.
Food - We ordered some buffalo chicken tenders, they made Hooters wings look good.
On the upside, the value is good, we shot pool for a couple of hours and drank beer and the damage was light compared to say going to teh Yardhouse or even the Flying Saucer. Havingsaid that obviously no where near the beer selection.

Alright this is about dead even here. Some nights it is a good place to be and other nights you have to watch some geeky dude pick up two fat ladies. What is this world coming to? They have some old stand-by's though - darts, pool and Golden Tee. Drink and dart, anyone?
High turn-over and those who stay are demoralized to make it fun. Every now and then you get a new one in there. They leave, but they generally flock to other bars.
They have surprised me a few times. I think I have had about everything they offer, but at least I can get something from Belgium.
They recently changed the food, so it is a bit better. Prior to then, it was bad. The score may go up to average on this one if I HAVE to eat there again.

Let me preface this by saying this is a chain. I personally do not like the chain atmoshpere. I did enjoy the Fox and the Hound in College Station as a student but this Westheimer location doesn't do it for me. The pluses are the pool tables and Golden Tee that provide entertainment. The menu is pretty broad and I actually think the brisket and cheesesteaks are pretty solid. The beer collection is mostly bottles for the non-standard items. The selection is wide, but nothing I would consider exotic. The bar tends to be very very smoky. Typically gets crowded and getting a beer can be tough.
