I think Atlanta has gotten so touristy that if places like this don't know you, most likely your first experience will not be that good. While we been like 8 times, its been spread out so much, unless we personally meet someone a few times, they would not remember me as I am just not that remarkable. WE almost met the asst manager once, after he heard we been there 3 days in a row in 2008, but he never came back to us, so sad.

Last visit April 2010: We visited 3 days in a row. me and the wife. Very crowded and small place with a nice atmosphere. Slow service, if not at a the bar. been here many times now its not getting any better. Its a great place but world class NOT.
I can understand quality versus quantity but we got 84 taps here in my town and this place is only got what 25 to 30 if you include both bars. sad really.

May 2008: 2 visits upstairs IGNORED because we just walked in!! Once served service was fairly decent. Once we got to the upstairs bar is got better but the damage was done ratings wise.

Decent bottle selection and its nice the have the right glasses, Duvel and Orval for 11 dollars a bottle, highway robbery if you ask me. I guess its just something locals can afford, we cannot sadly.

The drafts were at little more reasonable, but still not cheap.

Food was good though and I guess that's the draw its reasonably cheap food , and the food is reason enough to go, but its a crowded place, cozy but tight fit. we could not get downstairs either day, and the Belgium bar was closed upstairs until about 5:30 or 6pm.

If you don't mind paying they got a decent selection nothing compared to Boston and the NE bars but for Atlanta its tops I guess. Friendly wait staffs once served, but drinking here wow better budget $75 plus for 4 beers IN BOTTLES for (2 folks) plus tip and that's no food. That drinking bottles, not draft, that's 8 beers total some of which were 12 dollars for 330ml, can you say we will never buy a bottle here again, yes you can.

The place is just too crowded for us, not to mention its a tad snobby I mean most of these folks don't give you the time of day I guess their yankees not real southerners.

SO we get here at 11am and its packed, they need to double the size of the place.

We been here many times and I would never make a special trip here again, but we do still seem to go here when we want decent pub and all that. still its crowded and packed many times, you have to run a smoke barrier to get in and out and parking sucks. Sorry if we like to park close, Sundays were free parking I think.

Beer is top of line (pricey to boot) and food is great, but its a strange place, it seems many are families that go for the food and drink tea and cokes, so its seem its really a restaurant first to most locals I chatted with, which does not make it a bad place far from it, it just makes it NOT a true beer bar IMHO. Just don't tell a local you don't LOVE the place and isn't the best because they will go nuts on yea. So go and decide for yourself if its the best. Heck we got 84 taps here, LOL they don't even come close.

local beer is cheapest, Belgian beer avoid at all costs unless your got money to burn.

again if your local and got the cash its a great place, but us fixed income folks its just not world class bar its a nice restaurant with some decent beer. Sorry but the TRUTH is the just a fact.
