The British Beer Company in Hyannis is a great place to enjoy a quality meal matched with the perfect beer. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Bar staff among the best I ever had the privilege of being served by.
27 beers on tap and countless bottles, both American and Imported. They are from all corners of the world. They are always getting new beers on tap and in the bottles.
The menu is very diverse including vegetarian and gluten free menus. Specials are well thought out and are always changing. The chefs are among the best on Cape Cod! The BBC also has pizza. You have your choice between regular and multi-grain crust! There is even a gluten free pizza crust.
So when you are in the mood for an enjoyable eating experience at a reasonable price, paired with an exceptional selection of beers and wines then you really should give them a try!

Stopped in last night after pizza at Palio's (delicious by the way). Pub is clean and comfortable - only one bartender but it's the off season and she handled things fine and was pleasant.
Decent bottle selection and their draft selection is easily the best in the area (about 25) - they have a few local brews which is always nice to try out and they have no problem pouring samples if asked. Had an Allagash Black and a couple Cape Cod Porters, wife had Harpoon 100 Barrel Series Catamount Maple Wheat.
Checked out their "On Draught" list online beforehand and seemed to be up to date (http://www.britishbeer.com/menu-beer.asp?p=3).
Was only a few local folks there when we stopped in. I'm sure it gets much busier during warmer months but that won't stop me from visiting while on vacation this summer. Recommend if in the area.

Recently visited again, and had a superb experience. Great brews, so many menu items I wanted to try that we went to BBC Walpole the next day, excellent service and food, bumped all my numbers up. You should check them out.
Nice place to enjoy a brew and some food. Nice decor meant to simulate a British Pub atmosphere, and they seem have done a good job, from the many British accents from the hired help to the dark wood everywhere. Brits would most likely say that's more like what an American would expect a pub in England to be like, but that's good enough for me, until I get over there to make the call myself.
Many British brews available, and the three I picked off the menu were all still in stock, which is always a bonus. Seemed odd that it looked like everything I had was on nitro, from Tetley's (as per usual presentation) to Fuller's London Porter to Belhaven Scottish, but whatever. Wish they'd get some cask in there and really impress me, but it was still a pleasant variety of 27 brews on tap, inc BMC products, although there were only one or two wasting taps, I think.
Food was excellent again (BBQ Chicken pizza, salad, and fried Monterey Jack), although 10-15 minutes after placing our order we were informed they were out of our original order of Pulled Pork pizza. Don't know what the big lag was between order and reorder, but it wasn't our waitress' fault, so I didn't ding their service rating much. Damn, we'd been looking forward to it since having last spring, but, oh well, better luck next year.
A relatively good place to visit on the somewhat (except for neighbor Hyport Brewery) brewpub-barren mainland Cape Cod. Worth trying if in the area.

I live close to the British Beer Company in Sandwich and love going there as well. I go to the location in Hyannis for the number of beers. On the main street in Hyannis there are many restaurants and bars. The BBC is the only one with any kind of beer selection. They have 27 beers on tap, and about 40 in bottles. You will find many English style beers on tap including Fuller's Porter, London Pride, and ESB. They also have some of the classic choices like Stella Artois, Guinness, Bass, and Smithwicks. They also have the limited edition Guinness 250. In bottle they have a great selection of the Samuel Smith products from the Taddy Porter to the IPA. I've also tried the Well's Banana Bread Beer, which is actually pretty good.
The food is also something special. As I read some of the other reviews, I noticed some negative comments. I inquired about the fish and chips (enjoyed it very much). The batter is made with one of the Fuller's beers especially for the BBC. It does have a unique taste, but a great treat for beer lovers and great for the British Pub feel.
Service is great with a knowledgeable and attentive staff. The decor and old British dark wood really makes for an amazing experience. If you are in there area, this is a must!

27 taps on a nice old style wooden bar that lines the rear of the restaurant. It' a medium sized place with ten booths and another 15 or more tables of various sizes. It's a classic British Pub, I guess, nothing unforgettable. Low lighting with loud classic rock. There is an extensive menu from pizza to burgers, salads, some UK favorites, etc. Arrogant Bastard, Fuller's O'Hara's Irish Stout, Cape Cod IPA & Red Ale, Wachusetts Blueberry, Julius Ecter Hefeweizen, Monty Python's Holy Grail, Fullers ESB & London Pride, Hoegaarden, Speckled Hen, Shipyard Summer, Bellhaven Scottish Ale and a fair assortment of domestic and imported macros. Bottled beers are not very extensive but offers a goodly variety of Samuel Smiths and Fullers and Chimay and Lindeman's Fraboise Lambic. There is loud retro rock playing on the speaker system and i think they have live music on certain nights. This seems to be a pretty popular place situated right in the middle of things on Main Street in downtown Hyannis. Just look for the British flag over the sidewalk. If you are living in Hyannis I guess I would make this a favorite stop based upon the extent of beer variety on tap and decent food. The same goes for the visitor once you get your fill of the beach and waterfront beaches. There doesn't seem to be much to compete with this in the area when it comes to the beer value although this is not anything off the charts. Definitely check it out when on the Cape.

We always seem to make a stop here when we visit the Cape. Great exterior, with a nice decorating job inside; a bit of a commercial interpretation of the English style. Beer selection was quite good, with several English offerings, as well as Belgian, German and some local micros. The food is tasty; the fries with 3 dipping sauces is always a great choice. The bangers and mash were also very tasty. My only complaint would be the cheesy club music that took over on a Friday night, but if you avoid the dance club offerings this is a nice place for a pint and a pasty.

In Hyannis, this is a great spot to have some quality pints and listen to a cover band with your friends. A decent selection of about 20 beers on tap to choose from.
The most recent visit to this Cape drinkers staple consisted of a few pints of stout and a band that played a lot of old rock, i.e. Rolling Stones, etc.
For food, I kept it simple with a burger and fries, standard bar fare and always goes well with some pints.
The Cape only has so much nightlife and for the demographic of this website, BBC is certainly at the top of the list.

I have a bone to pick with this place.
Yes they have around 20-something beer to choose from, but they are all similar so it lacks variety.
The food is alright, but anybody can make a decent pizza.
The atmosphere is english bar kitchy. With tacky english stuff on the walls.
Also if you want to go somewhere and drink your face off or just enjoy the company of friends over some pints, you have to deal with some horrible band or DJ with more speakers than a KISS concert. It is not a big place and the tin celing just makes it louder when these bands play.

I was down on the Cape for the day with a couple of friends and we decided to drop by British Beer Company for a few pints. The atmosphere is comfortable and as one would assume, a mock British Pub feel awaits.
There is a beer menu that highlights their selection. I had the Fuller's ESB & London Pride which were really good. They also have the Fuller's Vintage Ale. Other beer options include Erdinger Hefe-Weizen, Wachusett Summer Breeze Ale and other staples like Guinness, Hoegaarden & Boddingtons.
I was pleased with this place and is probably one of the better beer oriented restaurants on Cape Cod. Just note that the beer selection isn't even close to the BBC in Walpole.
